this argument is reaching ludicrous speed

It may reach plaid before it's finally over.

NBA = Best Athletes
NHL/NFL= Toughest Athletes
MLB = hardest of the bunch. The "best" players hit around .340 which means they fail 66% of the time. However it does get a strike against it that THIS guy was very successful at playing the sport:

He had a sweet mullet.

Lebron James and Dwight Howard are truly that dominating over the entire human race huh?

:covri:

How are his arguments not weak sauce for the NBA?

That's not what I am talking about. Things like "basketball has too many timeouts", "omgolol basketball players don't wear pads" and things of that nature. It's very, very weak sauce.

I'd pay good money to see LeBron run a crossing route over the middle against the Steel Curtain or with Ronnie Lott at safety.

I bet if I played horse with an NBA player I would get them a point eventually if dunking wasn't allowed. :hihi:

LeBron James was an allstate WR as a freakin SOPHOMORE. If he ran a crossing route, Ronnie Lott's head would explode.

And horse isn't basketball. You continue to discount how hard it is to score when a world class athlete is guarding you. Obviously pro athletes can score on pro athletes...and yet you act like it's not a big deal, that somehow, if they can do it, it must not be that hard(example: I've seen NBAers hit threes on Kobe).

I don't know about all this "best athletes" crap, but I do know that my Dad can beat up your Dad.

I posted the gear because it was said that running up and down a court is hard and all they do is skate, which is easy.

Skating with all that gear on >>>>> skating. That was my point.

You don't think the timeouts are a bit excessive? Seriously 6 per team per half? The last 15 seconds of a basketball game can take 20 minutes.

I never once said that the NBA athletes weren't world class athletes.

You made that statement about shooting a 3 on Kobe sound like it was impossible. To an average joe off the street, sure, but other NBA players do it all the time. How does that all of sudden equate Lebron into being the most dominate human on the planet?

You brought the average joe off the street vs. professional athlete argument into this.

Not that it is completely relavent but here is a good video on Iverson playing football. Could have been just a great in the NFL.

Here is a quick video on Lebron and football. If he would have played hockey he would have probably dominated that too. Same goes for baseball, ping pong and sumo wrestling.

NBA probably has the most athletes that could be sucessful in the most sports.

Now this is reaching dare I say the level of you irrational love for Mike Bibby. :hihi:

Lots of guys were allstate as sophomores and Ronnie Lott would still take their heads off.

I tend to agree that NBA players are overall the best atheletes, but that does not mean their championship is the hardest to win.

I want to disagree but I am not one of the 250 people in the world that actually watch it.

The NHL don't have so many days off between games like the NBA does. The NBA playoffs are a 'walk in the park' compared to the NHL playoffs.
