The NBA title is the hardest title in Major sports to win. (1 Viewer)

One might argue that since teams have won multiple titles over the years that it is easier to win titles once you get the right mix of players, and keep them.

those guys don't play hockey:shrug:

and i am sure hockey has dominant guys like that already...

Those are the ONLY two human beings in the world who are that physically dominant. No NFLer, no MLBer, no soccer player have their tangibles. It's not even close.

And some of y'all make basketball out to be just dribbling and shooting at a basket, which makes it plainly obvious that you haven't played before. I haven't played hockey before, but I'm not about to say it involves skating and shooting a puck, which is smaller than a basketball into a net, that's bigger a basketball hoop.

I would rather wear protective gear. Thanks.

What?

Not sure what you're going for with this post.

Is the use of protective gear necessary in the NBA yet these modern day warriors shake off the warnings as they head into a fierce battle that on occasion leads to a turned ankle or a skinned knee?

Puck at high rates of speed >>>>> Steve Kerr bumping into you running kinda fast.

Running is harder than skating. I don't know how that can be argued. Maybe if you have never skated it can be hard. Or if you are a beginner.

it's not just skating....it's skating while chasing a piece of solid rubber that's flying around in all different directions at high speeds.....

Oh geez. :covri:

That's a bit excessive me thinks.

I agree with St. Ryan in the debate. I'd be willing to listen to the other side of the argument but the reasoning that is being used for Hockey is weak sauce.

I just find that a lot easier. I know I havent played it on a high level, but I have played it against equally skilled players and I just find it not as hard as basketball. Everyone has the right to their opinion and I have mine. Having played both. Its the only way I can actually base my opinion. I have never played in the NBA or the NHL so I wouldnt know.

Seriously, the best athletes? Because they can run and bounce a ball all the way to the ground and back up? If basketball was so difficult than why do they score so many points? I bet it's much harder to hit a deflect a puck with your stick coming at you at an extremely high rate of speed or to hit a fastball/curve ball than it is to drain a 3. Hell I can drain some 3's.

I'll bet you AND I have a much better chance of hitting that 90 mph baseball or deflecting that fast puck than we have of draining a 3 while Kobe Bryant is guarding us. There's a zero percent chance you will make a 3. Meanwhile, I know from personal experience that I will hit that 90mph baseball about 20-30% of the time. The puck? I don't know, but there's almost no chance of me scoring on Kobe Bryant.

You obviously have never played basketball with actually talented players.

Lebron James and Dwight Howard are truly that dominating over the entire human race huh?

:covri:

How are his arguments not weak sauce for the NBA?

I've seen other players make a 3 while Kobe was guarding them so what weight does this argument carry?

Is Kobe not good on defense?

Of course at 6' 0" I wouldn't stand a chance at making that shot, but I couldn't make a layup on Shaq with him standing in front of the basket with his arms up. :idunno:

If I was as tall as LeBron, I bet my chances would increase a bunch.

Have you seen them? They are the epitomy of physical dominance. I'm not saying they're the best athletes, but I am saying they are the most physically impressive males on earth and in anything that deals with strength/speed, they will demolish people.

It's only excessive if you can find them. Even TO doesn't fit this criteria.

I'd pay good money to see LeBron run a crossing route over the middle against the Steel Curtain or with Ronnie Lott at safety.

I bet if I played horse with an NBA player I would get them a point eventually if dunking wasn't allowed. :hihi:

Actually you are saying that.

You're saying both and I'll disagree, but to each their own. :idunno:

And I've seen a guy pick up the puck from behind the goal and scoop it in. That point is irrelevant to the argument.
