Opinion The NFL should flex the Saints out of Monday Night Football December 23rd….. (3 Viewers)

I mean that's a lot for any team, but they haven't lost their best player at any point this season, and he also happens to be their most skilled and the leader of that offense. And they have a tonight of depth, so they've been able to mostly weather the storm.

So they're not the same, clearly.
The depth and all of that wasn’t being discussed, clearly.

It was worded in a way to say the saints have had it worse on the injury front which isn’t entirely true. They’re just better prepared and have done a better job at building their roster.

Detroit has more injuries than the Saints, but they dont whine about it. And, I guess their personnel department knows how to find replacements.
Hysterical. Really? You understand that a lot of Detroit's injuries are to backups on defense. Let me ask you this- take away Goff, St. Brown and LaPorta and 4/5 of the Lions OL and see how many games they win against teams like Tampa, Denver and the Chargers. Not even remotely similar.

They have no choice but to keep it if not moving Eagles/Commanders. Bucs/Cowboys are SNF and that matchup is even worse. Maybe they'll realize Wednesday Christmas games were a bad idea.

The NFL still has two days to get out of this mess. With all due respect to those traveling to see this abomination, for competitive purposes, this game needs to be flexed.

Back up QB, a 5-9 team against a solid playoff contender and the Saints not being a TV draw? Sheesh. Talk about leading the lambs to the slaughter.

I'd rather see the Seahawks/Vikings on Monday Night.
That can't happen because Seattle has a TNF after Christmas Day.

You cannot flex the game now so time to move on.

"A Saints 52-17 drubbing and being humiliated nationally just days before Christmas? What's the problem?"
~R. Goodell

Just to be clear the NFL did not flex the game only because they wanted to showcase the Packers. As we all know the media, as with another select teams, has a love fest concerning the Packers. They want them to always be relevant and when they are they want them on national TV no matter who they are playing.
