Opinion The NFL should flex the Saints out of Monday Night Football December 23rd….. (2 Viewers)

Na.

One of two things are going to happen. Its either going to be a great game, or the saints will get humiliated on national TV, forcing the front office to not "Just keep chopping wood".

Either way, its a win for us.
good, you are what ur record says you are. Lets see what we are playing teams with more than 2-3 wins

Detroit has more injuries than the Saints, but they dont whine about it. And, I guess their personnel department knows how to find replacements.

There is a lot of room between being not as good as Detroit and bad. All he said is that when healthy this isn't a "bad" team and that it was competitive against the Rams. Frankly, the Rams are better than G.B. so if they can compete against the Rams, they can compete against G.B.

Yes, Detroit has handled their injury issues better. But, they also have better coaching than we do and many, many years of high round draft picks to build that roster. it only took them like 30 years to get this good with the depth to sustain injuries.

This will be an extremely unpopular opinion but I firmly believe that the NFL needs to flex the Saints/Packers Monday Night game with the Texans/Chiefs game on December 23rd.

Hear me out.

Yes, it is a big deal to be on Monday Night Football. I get the advertising and the money aspect of it. I believe in Darren Rizzi and think that this team absolutely fights for him but let’s face reality. The Saints are going to get curb stomped on national television. Again. The Saints, while having some heart and fight, are not a good team. They are bad. Yes, they are that bad. The Packers are good, very good in fact and fighting for playoff positioning. It is outside and cold. All in the Packers favor. I don’t think anyone here or in the general football world sees the Saints having a snowball’s chance in hell of keeping this game close, let alone winning this game. The Texans/Chiefs? That will be a good game. I just see this as a 52-17 drubbing of the Saints.

Clown, flame, laugh, disagree away but I really do not see the value of having our team embarrassed on national TV. Let them get beat on a local TV on a Sunday afternoon level and be a byline on ESPN.com.
Nope, put it back on Sunday so I can watch it in its entirety instead of only watching the first half!

If you think that Bozo commissioner is going to let a chance to embarrass us on national tv slip away, you are sadly mistaken. I agree with everything you said but that’s exactly how Roger wants it! You can best believe that.

The better game to flex would be Sun 1pm Philly @ Washington. It has real playoff implications and will be an exciting watch.

I would rather the NFL confirm the Week 18 Saints @ Tampa will be on Sunday with a time. I'm seriously thinking about a quick trip down from DC even if we are eliminated.

Just wish Taysom was healthy so we could see him run through defenders in the snow
That was something I had been thinking about since the first 2 games of the season, what AK & TH7 would look like running over GB in the snow!

😁 Who Dat!

They have some injuries, but nowhere near the numbers and key players the Saints have dealt with. It’s not close. And it’s well-known that depth is an issue, so, hardly surprising.

And as others have said, Allen was not a good HC.

Detroit has nowhere near the injuries at key positions the Saints have experienced all season.
