The no call should’ve stood because the WR was behind the LOS and it seems the contact happened before the ball was released. It is ridiculous to call something that close.

As inept as NFL officiating has become, do we really want a triumvirate of off-site officials spending time evaluating and discussing calls over a period of several minutes? It was cited that Coach Payton has suggested this, but I'm not in favor it.

While I want the calls to be made correctly (and I understand and accept the factor of human error to a certain degree), I really cannot fathom a game of 4+ hours. I'd run out of beer before it was over.

Yea that one was definitely a personal message from Riveron to Payton.

In all honestly I thought it was a defensive hold, but the review can't reverse a missed hold - only PI.

Either way, that call has stood all season. I agree with something Pat McAfee said on his show. I don't think this is an NFL wide thing. I think this is just one guy, Al Riveron, being extremely stubborn. It's crazy that he can get away with it.

I aree with the OP. Current officials hate that they can be proved wrong and overturned on national TV. I think they are purposely showing the league how they can still control the narrative. I can even understand that perspective to a degree. But yeah that was a FU to the saints on that ticky tacky challenge.

i cannot see any difference in our challenge vs CAR challenge. I don’t buy into conspiracy but, I’m truly puzzled by two in the same game with such different rulings by the same crews. Refs should be made full time and held to a press conference after each game. Id love to see an hour long panel show of the most impactful calls of the week.
