The NFL doesn’t want to fix the problem. They want to be able to make these calls that change games.

It’s a simple fix. There is a camera on every square inch of the field. They have a league office that monitors all the games.

All they have to do is communicate to the refs on the field in real time to quickly correct or confirm the call.

They won’t.

Just have a team of 'elite' refs looking at any questionable flag in a control room in New York. They have access to all the replays and angles. They can call the head ref on any flag and overturn the call on the field.

It isn't rocket science. This could be fixed in one weekend.

Then Devito goes to the tent. Why did the clock remained stopped and why did the Giants get to keep their timeout? Is that only at the end of the game?

It's not the call so much thr timing of said call. Call that on first down on a 3 yard pass...whatever, but 3rd and 22 on a "we're just trying not to turn the ball over so we can punt on 4th" play...complete and utter BS

It would be nice to have some sort of review. But, as we saw with the PI reviews a few years back, the referee cartel takes care of its own. Reversals would be rare. They don’t care about getting the call right. They get paid either way.

All those games where we birch and whine about the refs, but then there are the people who say "we shouldn't have been in a position for the refs to lose it for us," this is that game. Where the refs tried to hose us, but we played well enough to where it didn't matter.

I can almost understand getting it wrong live. But the guys in the league office have to tell them to pick that flag up.

Total blown call. I can only presume that the official’s perspective made him think he saw something different than what happened. But it’s a mistake - they’re human

NFL officials are like law enforcement, etc. They have qualified immunity
