And a lot of cap space.5 1st round picks on that line.
High draft picks only to suck:And Yet we pick a lineman in the 1st round every year.
The F/O has hid behind the brilliance of SP & Drew for too long. Now it's being exposed.High draft picks only to suck:
Saints OlineDline
Yeah...let's draft 5 more in the first round...eventually we'll get it right5 1st round picks on that line.
This, for all the great work Irland has done, it seems like we waste picks on both sides of the line. Dav, Ruiz, Peat, Penning, etc.And Yet we pick a lineman in the 1st round every year.
True, but our OL was not good in 21 either.I have to say that Jameis getting injured in '21 wasn't on the O-line. That was just bad luck and Devin White being a dirty player like he always has been.
I have no formal data on this, but it truly has looked bad for a lot of teams this year. My friends who are Giants and Jets fans hate their OLs. From what I saw of the 4Q of PIT-CLE after our MNF win, PIT was chasing Deshaun into Lake Erie. This was my question last week, but some pointed out that it's a league wide issue. After today's game, it's definitely coaching.
Except…..this yearAnd Yet we pick a lineman in the 1st round every year.
The O-line has been average, at best, ever since Aaron Kroemer left the team. They don't have any synchronicity in their play and they don't have a lead dawg on that line...
It’s week 3…This is getting expensive. I really don't have an answer for the breakdown, but Ram is usually a beast. This is what happens when your 1st team get no snaps in the pre season. O line men have to be on the top of the list on draft day.
The o line is this year’s Jason David for sureI was coming here to say, a long absence for Carr is better for him if we don't fix this oline. It's atrocious.
Remember how we ALL knew that the DC Garry Gibbs and CB Jason David were the problems in our team and we celebrated when Gibbs was fired and David was cut? And instantly we were MUCH better and won a Super Bowl that season?
Well, it's the same with this oline. They ARE the weakest link on this team. And we will suffer in turmoil and mediocrity to downright sucking until that is ameliorated.
Derek Carr was hit and pressured WAY too much and it was consistent for 3 straight weeks.
We took Bryan Breese, but surprisingly he's looked good so far. I cannot say the same for Foskey.Except…..this year
Drew made our offensive line look far better than it actually ever was during his time here. Guy absolutely refused to get sacked, and his legendary ability to not only sense pressure but know where all eligible receivers would be at any given moment made some of both our past and present offensive lineman a ton of money.
