well, well. i see some of us have our feathers all ruffled up... hmmph!

to those who will meditate and overcome, will wait for the dark one's return.

jesus ******* christ. i don't care how much anyone didn't like porter the last few years, he helped us win a mother ******* superbowl.

****. dammit. 4 million for one year is probably a lot better than what the saints would have offered (if they did make one), so i wish him the best. i love him.

Yeah, I love me some TP..

But we are better off without him, sadly. His gambling really paid off in that 2009 season though. I'm not sure what happened to him after that though. He was at his best in the early parts of his career then his play gradually declined. He has also been hurt just about everywhere imaginable. It's not just a knee or an ankle. It's on just about every part of his body. He is so injury prone. I wonder if it's that the guy just can't stay healthy and that is the reason he has looked so bad?

In any regard, whether it's health or just descending play, it's time for us to move on without him.

yeah. i hate to agree. in '09 he was aggressive in tackling, something that wasn't present the last few years. in '10/11, it was more about trying to knock a ball out every play instead of wrapping a player up. plus he's not a 16 game player, much less every down.

i was thinking about it, while playing mw3 of all times, that when i played aussie rules football, our 16-18yo division, and the 14-16yo before it, both participated in a bounty system. we were awarded special perks in practice and game time (well more play time for "smaller" players like myself..) for big hits, especially well laid hip-n'-shoulders. i didn't realize that it really does extend to most sports.

**** i'm still ****** off.

The only good thing to come of this total catastrophe regarding the Saints is if somehow a miracle were to happen and we not only win the Superbowl IN NEW ORLEANS, but we get to stick it to Roger making him hand us that trophy in the dome.

I used to think nothing could top 2009. Uh, this not only would top it, but blow it off the map.

I think Coach Allen made TP into the guy we loved. Once he left, Porter was devoid of all of that delicious coaching input week after week.

I wish him well, he will always be one of my all time favorite Saints.

I went to Church Point my first 2 years of high school before switching to Rayne my junior year.

When we played CP my junior of football, it was a well known fact that my former coach had a bounty on my head. Not sure the price, but both teams knew it. There was about 10 late hit penalties that game, I was on the receiving end of at least half.

Ended up throwing a TD with 10 seconds left to win the game and telling that slob to go **** himself on my way back to the sideline.

3 years later, that same coach had an $150 bounty on my brother's head

We need to name a head coach for the year ASAP or no other free agents will sign. Would you if you didn't even know who was going to lead the team this year? We missed out on Lofton because of this, imho. We could have used him because Vilma will be history. How many more?
