It's encouraging to see one of the best inside Lb's sign with us AFTER the bounty hunting punishment. He scores lots of tackles also..LOTS

This is something we really needed, even if Vilma isn't going to be suspended, his time has past. it will mean if Harper wiffs on a tackle the back will not go for 10 yards, and it will keep our secondary a little more healthy.(so they won't have to be in on so many tackles)

that was a really good signing, especially considering it was after the "bountygate" crap.

as for vilma, i dunno. if we can restructure his contract, i'd like to keep him. the dude is smart, with the exception of 10k bounties. it's really hard to find defensive minds that think like he does. i think he has some time left him (he's only 29). i'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was recovering this last season for his lack of production. he was still highly productive in 2010 though his 2011 season would let you think otherwise.. i just think with the lack of SP, we may need his coaching on the field. if he won't budge on his contract though, he's gotta go.

Originally I thought this Parcells information was just possibly a leak to manipulate Goodell in some way. The timing of it all was very suspect. However, now with Loomis going down there to meet Parcells with Payton?



This has a very real possibility of this happening and it would be huge. The Saints usually get what they want when they find a target. Parcells will be head coach of the Saints-- book it. Wow, is this exciting? Let's get ready for all the media attention imaginable, shall we?

Payton at ESPN along with Parcells on our sideline, get ready for the media love fest to be off the charts. That along with the bounty fiasco will mean we will be the most hated team in the NFL when you factor in all this coverage. Win or lose, it's gonna be a fun season once Parcells signs on the dotted line.

I almost feel like Parcells was just being used a threat to Goodell should SP stay suspended. Well, we bluffed and lost here.


I'm going to be seriously ****** off if Joe Vitt is named head coach. A guy that is suspended himself(and obviously not very bright either, I have no faith in him) So we'll have a revolving door of coaches throughout the season. If this is the plan it's gonna be a train wreck.

I'm still holding out hope here. Certainly we can't be that stupid to name Joe Vitt as our head coach. So I guess I shouldn't be that worried.

I've noticed over the years that no matter how good we are and how crappy they are, the teams that always give us fits are Washington, Seattle, and St. Louis. It's just one of those things, I guess.
