They were fun. I'm like a zombie though.

10 days of parks (open to close every day) is a bit too much. I doubt I'll do that again, ever.

10 day vacation is cool, but I really needed a day or two of relaxing by the pool somewhere in the middle though.

Too many days of getting up @ 6-7 am and not getting back to the hotel until 11-12 at night.


Did I miss anything important? WDQ flood his house (again)? Twennnty and Mongoose have a falling out b/c Twennnty started playing BC2? Buzd talk you into buying 2 of everything yet?

Doc and DoubleDown tried Medal of Honor, but Doc doesn't seem all that impressed. anita is getting his 360 fixed so he can occasionally play games with the rest of us. Twenty got the You Laugh You Lose thread shut down, but I forgive him. Goose has confirmed that he really hates people.

Actually I was just trying to by my first one a few minutes ago. I stood as the only person in line at Best Buy while 4 employees milled about and one tried to fill out some sort of paperwork (!!!) for someone buying a PS3 game. I lost my patience and thrust the box (twss) into the arms of the greeter and walked out.

We really need more electronic store options in this city. I know I'm going to find myself at a different Best Buy later today.

Edit: And you won't like this, Goose, but the Sony remote seems to be much more ergonomic and practical. than the Logitech variety Plus I can use the justification of a Bluray player for the other TV as part of my justification to Liz (ooh, she is not going to be happy )

I saw that buzd was well on his way before I left...

I talked with DD before leaving and bought MoH, but never opened it. Debating on returning it to get Fall Out NV, but then again I haven't opened Fallout 3 yet.

What exactly is anita going to play on the 360 with 'us'. BC2 is out, he is the only one that still has a copy of Blur (I'm guessing here), and he is king of 'meh' when it comes to Halo.

You Laugh You Lose is gone?! I'll have to hear the back story to this later. I'm sure the mod-edits have removed all evidence.

Concerning Goose's hatred for his fellow man... I can't say I blame him. Most of us (myself included) are pretty irritating at times. I just hope he someday finds that utopian paradise he is searching for where the world is nothing but man-cannons and DMRs and where alarm clocks only exist in department stores so we can set them to go off at random times during the day.

One thing I never understood about internet videos on TV like that - is the quality crappy when you expand it to full screen? Cause I can't even get decent quality on my 23" monitor at work. It all seems optimized for little bitty picture sizes. I'm not talking netflix; I'm talking youtube videos and such.

i enjoy playing Halo with certain people

but yeah, i still have Blur and BC2 for the ps3....i will get Black Ops for the 360

It depends. Youtube carries some 720p stuff (you have to select that resolution specifically when it's available) if the user bothers to upload it. Of course, you have to have the bandwidth to support the stream, too. But generally, yes, they look crappy.

To me the biggest attraction of Google TV is a functional internet browser on the TV and the apps available through the android market. And that you can do that while still watching TV in a window (although I can do most of this on my laptop already). I think I'm finally going to get Netflix streaming as well, so it's a usable interface for that. Liz isn't too receptive to firing up the xbox or PS3 if she wants to watch a movie. But it's certainly not something I need - just a new toy.
