i used to like sproles a lot with the chargers. now i LOVE him.

The thing I really like about Sproles is how he uses his superior height to make plays. I'm just not sure how he is so quick with him being so tall. I mean that dude must be at least 5' 6". He's a giant.

I can forgive our defense for being torched by Rogers, he does that to teams. But..

Ellis is officially on my "you know what" list.

Rogers takes plays off and Ellis is just terrible. Wonderful combo and it almost makes me physically ill to watch them. It seems there is very little difference as to how these two play from preseason to the start of the regular season.

I agree on Ellis, but I disagree on Rogers. I think Rogers will be fine. He actually played well in preseason, he just didn't have any help around him. Ellis on the other hand is a disappointment. The good news is that we don't have to pay him after this season and "Mama's Boy" and Swanson Miller look like they will be players.

His secret is Skechers Shape Up cleats.

Since this happened on a Thursday I have an extra 3 days to be in a bad mood :banghead:

This, and I think if Moore and Smith had played, we would have won that game. Moore would have helped us in the red zone, and Smith to help get pressure on Rodgers. The playcalling was bad at times last night, but that'll get better as the season goes on. Not worried much at all.

Yeah, on the first 4th down call, it was really obvious that they were going to run play action the moment they put Thomas in for Ingram. I didn't have an issue with the play action pass, but I think it would have been much more effective with Ingram in. If I knew they were going to play action, I'm sure Dom Capers knew it too. That being said, it sure would have been nice to have had Lance More running a slant or a little out route near the goal line.

And they were still one shot by a DB as Ingram leaped for the endzone from having a shot to tie it up and win it.

The defense is a concern, but I think they are better than what happened last night. Rodgers just torched us despite good coverage and McCarthy had Gregg Williams off balance all night with the play calling. Other teams don't have Rodgers, Finley and their TEs so I'm sure the defense will look better when very good coverage is good enough and when we can blitz without getting torched every time.

The really good news is that Brees is stepping up into the pocket again, not making dumb throws, is looking like the 2009 version of Drew Brees and the addition of Sproles and Ingram to go along with Thomas gives us the best group of running backs in the league.

Felt like after going down 14 the defense went into prevent mode. Id rather get beat deep than give them everything underneath.

Oh my God.......I was defunkenstroyed last night after the game and just discovered that I downloaded Cher's Greatest Hits.

I'm going to start kissing men soon.

WT* is wrong with me? :covri:

i thought it was a bad call when they ran it with sproles when they were down at the 5 or 6 and got stuffed on the second to last drive. we were already down to one TO at that point and we lost precious time because of it. i know we eventually scored a TD but those 20-25 seconds we lost could've been huge

The turnover was the difference in this one.

That fumble by Colston killed us.

We also have a defense, that for whatever reason, just can't generate the same turnovers they did when we made the Super Bowl run. As a matter of fact, our defense was terrible at that last year, and we had ZERO against GB.

Great game though, and the packers defense looked just as horrible as ours.

But a red hot Drew Brees and Aaron Rogers can make any defense look foolish.
that fumble was crucial.

the sack on 4th and goal was bad too. watching it again, you can see the packers d pressing.

kuhn holding up cobb so he doesn't fall on the kick return, sigh.

the lack of forced turnovers by the saints was a big part of the loss. watching the packers with ball control is impressive though. there are a few players on the saints that i wish protected the ball like they did.

oh and i forgot about starks running it in for a td. as soon as vilma audibled to pull back, rodgers snapped the ball, and then starks was in like flynn. that kuhn td impressed me though. that's some SP stuff right there.

if it comes down to a NFC championship game in the dome for a rematch, i definitely wouldn't bet against the saints. we will win that.

why does Ingram get 13 carries and PT only get 5??

i know Shaun Peighten likes his new toys but dude, PT is a proven NFL back
