The Vick Gesture (MERGED AGAIN x4) (3 Viewers)

What I love most about the win, is how much the Falcons fans hate us for scoring the extra td. They're going to fume for a freaking year.... Muahahaha

What were the Saints supposed to do? There was almost three minutes left in the game. You can't kneel on the ball at that stage of the game. The Saints ran the ball. Atlanta did a poor job of tackling, plain and simple. As for the long pass, the Saints were facing a 3rd and seven. They had to pass. Henderson got behind the coverage and was wide open. Brees or any other QB couldn't ignore that.

i dont blame it all on vick... his receivers dropped WAYYYY too many passes

Let's not forget that he drills passes that he should put 'touch' on, and vice versa.

Wow! A complete meltdown that possibly stems from the head coaches father. Bizzare I tell you.

They've brought in a whole bunch of different receivers over the course of his time in Atlanta, and they always get the blame. I couldn't tell you whether its their fault or his fault because I don't break down the film, but I suspect a lot of things that get called drops are passes that aren't exactly on-target. They're underthrown, overthrown, high or low or too hard. I would imagine that this kind of wildness makes it hard for receivers to adjust the way they can when an accurate, decisive passer is throwing the ball. You know what to expect from someone like Brady or P. Manning or Brees and can adjust accordingly.

Anyway, the figures don't lie. His passer rating is pathetic, and he no longer has the fig leaf of, "yeah, but when he plays, his team wins." Wasn't that way last year and it isn't that way this year. As a matter of fact, the teams he faced last year had an aggregate record of just about .500. That's just about where Atlanta's record was, which means his record as a starter last year against the teams on his schedule was just about the same as every other quarterback who played those teams.

For excessive use of profane language or obscene gestures, players are fined $5,000 for a first offense and $7,500 for a second offense.

So will the league fine Vick $5,000 for the first finger, and $7,500 for the second one?
