The Zion Problem (1 Viewer)

I’m not a fan of late 1st round picks either, which is why I hated the Jrue trade. Trading a proven talent for a scratch off is foolish.

But that’s David Griffin for you. Dude sold low and bought high.
I don't think people realize what a crap shoot the NBA draft is. Even with players drafted in the first 5 picks, there is a less than 50% chance of getting anything more than a rotational player

Cool.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be mad. Sure he has shown flashes of brilliance in his time here, but he has been on the court so infrequently that you can’t count on him being more than a question.

Once bitten, twice shy.
There is just no chance they trade him with 3 years left on a very team friendly contract. The NBA is a business and the only relevancy this team has left is Zion. That's not to say they aren't trying to get this team to a better spot so they can offload him in a couple years. It would take something monumental to trade him now, which is a deal they will not get.

Agreed. And I would be willing to bet that Dumars does not want to trade Zion unless it is something we can't pass up which ain't gonna happen
