This game is a microcosm of why Dennis Allen will not last as Head Coach!!!! (1 Viewer)

Dennis Allen is a very good defensive coordinator. Maybe even borderline great. But as a Head Coach....he's not the answer. It's getting to the point where it would be more fun to see the defense on the field the entire game and if they can prevent the other team from scoring 20 points then it should count as a Saints win.

Back to reality though...Dennis Allen has to realize that you can't win consistenly in today's NFL kicking field goals. This is not the days of the Steel Curtain and the Purple People Eaters. He wanted Derek Carr on the team so we could average just over 15 points per game??? We could have kept Andy Dalton for that!!!!!!!!!
This is not all on Carmichael. After being around Sean Payton all these years he didn't forget how to call offense. He is doing what Allen wants. Which is calling conservative safe crap and leaning too much on the defense who just got lit up by Baker Mayfield, whom arguably through 4 games is the true best QB in the NFC South and it isn't even close!!!!

Anyone that is putting this game on the players is just wrong. There is no way that this roster is this bad at football. We know these guys have talent. It can only be coaching. Play design, preparation, motivation, playcalling, etc. This is a team that hasn't looked prepared to play football. Across the board, this team has taken on DA's bland personality and energy.

I don't know what more we can expect from this team until Loomis makes the call to blow up the coaching staff.

I cannot believe Pete suddenly went incompetent. No way can I believe this. But I can believe Allen is a horrible head coach who wants to control everything, therefore making Pete run the offense he wants.

I mean what makes you think Allen is a good head coach? His previous record? His current record? How he couldn’t figure out how to use Kamara? How the raiders executive couldn’t believe the saints hired him as a head coach.

Agreed. They should've been fired last year, Pete at minimum. I didn't know how you went into the off-season thinking "keep doing what you're doing" was ever going to work out.

When will fans stop this!! Pete didn’t do anything but sit in the room with Sean. Drew and Sean was that offense. Don’t give me that “he one year he called plays” Drew and our weapons called that year. Pete even said he he gives QBs multiple plays and let them do it. He isn’t and never was a good OC.

Pete didn’t drop passes on 3rd down. DA didn’t fumble inside the 5.

coaches are lowest paid people on this team and the guys making the big bucks did not perform well today.
