TIL: Today I Learned... (2 Viewers)

I mean, the mind reels, right? I heard about it and thought, naw, that's nuts. But dang if it wasn't Googleable and everything.
The sad thing is that if ‘spider web’ ever hits the menu it will be like truffles; it will be considered a delicacy and will cost more than most of us can afford. But if you can afford some, it will be billed as the only way to enjoy a meal and floss at the same time.

Yes, as with most fads, people are just foolish enough to fall for it. :covri:

Good morning class, my name is Professor Random. Welcome to Useless Knowledge 101. Please open your textbooks to page 956, Spider Goats.
As a rabid trivia player, I don't think any knowledge is useless!

But there's also this: "Spider goats are not harmed during the process of producing silk. Their milk contains the spider silk protein which can be used to replace Kevlar for bullet-proof vests, parachutes, and medical sutures/binding." I think this makes this odd idea hecka interesting!

My grandfather, not great grandfather, was born in 1889.
I'm not 60 yet. He died when I was 6 years old. I wish I had known him longer because all I remember was being scared of him. He wasn't mean, he just loved to pick on us.
My great-great-grandfather was born in 1835 and was a colonel in Phil Sheridan’s cavalry. We have his sabre, cast in 1862 in Chicopee, Massachusetts

History is cool 😎

Sorry. It is interesting and pretty cool. I've just been in a rough mood and snarkiness is one of my ways of coping.

I assume you named your daughter ‘Camaro’ or something
Am I correct?
Actually, she's named after Ella Fitzgerald :)

However, my son did come home from the hospital post-partum in my 2000 Z-28. A fact he relates to his friends, and they are so impressed...

I know how you love car stuff, so here goes…
LS 1 SBC with top-end rebuild. Edelbrock intake, mild cam, 1 3/4 inch headers and cat-back Borla adjustable exhaust with dual driver’s side 3-inch outlets and Magna-flow mufflers. Also chipped the ignition to advance timing. Hurst short-throw shifter with heavy-duty clutch. 390HP give or take. She’d chirp ‘em in the first 4 gears.

And T-tops. Can’t forget the T-tops

😎
