I wonder what the original timeframe for TWD was? No it has what 4 spin-offs?
If i remember correctly, the original TWD series ended at the same plot point as the comic, with them taking over the CommoWealth. I didn't read the comic, so i don't know how much extra was thrown in between to streach out the show..

Another one i saw in the theater.. i was really busy seeing movies that Fall of 87, my first semester of high school.. right around the same time as Princess Bride, i can remember seeing in the theater- Cant Buy Me Love, Adventures in Babysitting, The Big Easy, Like Father Like Son, Three O Clock High and Innerspace.. then a little while later, Good Morning Vietnam and The Naked Gun .

I to this day have never seen the Princess Bride.

IMO it’s one of the few movies that genuinely lives up to the hype.. and a bonus is that it has a timeless quality , so you can watch it in 2023 and it isnt much different than when i saw it in the theater in 1987, b/c it’s a period piece.. sometimes ill try to watch 80s or 90s movies i never saw, but too much time has passed and it seems dated.. not so with TPB .

Missed this one released on Sept 25, 1987. It's not got a lot of fans, but it's one I liked.

I might should put this in the TIL thread, but since i actually learned this the other day, not today- ill just leave it here: The woman who Hasselhoff (who played Michael Knight in Knight Rider) married around the time of the show, i forget her name.. she later divorced Hasselhoff and married another guy, a different person entirely, who’s name in real life was…………….. MICHAEL KNIGHT……. That’s a 100% true story, you can look it up .

this thread is like listening to rebroadcasts of Casey Kasem's American Top 40 - the memberberries are fun, but there really are only a small handful of songs that are still listenable and even fewer that are actually good

Glad it’s providing some entertainment for you in the teachers’ lounge .
