I to this day have never seen the Princess Bride.
just out of curiosity, is it just because you just never got around to it, or you just refuse to watch for a specific reason, or just think you wouldn't enjoy it?

Just never got around to it.

And why do you think that way? I love Costner. His sports movies are some of my favorites.

I like Costner ok.. but he seems to be kind of wooden in many of his roles.. and if youve never seen 13 Days, i believe it’s called- the one he did about JFK (not the actual movie JFK) and the missile crisis where Costner plays a guy from Boston- his Boston accent is so atrocious that i was actually embarrassed for him.. if you dont believe me then watch the first 20 min of that movie and tell me im wrong.. not that i think being able to do an accent is the mark of a good actor (his British accent kept coming and going in Robin Hood, and his NOLA accent in ‘JFK’ was almost as bad as in 13 Days)- i do think he’s just alright overall.. though i wouldnt mind having his apparently $400 million net worth , id let anyone call me a not-so-great actor for that .

Oh I get that kind of stuff. But to say his best role was of him being a corpse…. I feel maybe Coster has offended @guidomerkinsrules in some way.

I don’t feel Costener was the best actor of my generation but I have enjoyed all of his sports movies. Tim Cup is one of those movies ai watch anytime I see it on. I also enjoyed the Guardian, Fandango, The Untouchables, Dances with Wolves. no Way Out, 3000 Miles from Graceland, Mr Brooks, and Robin Hood.

I was being tongue in cheek
He suffered a bit from the Ben Affleck thing where his celebrity seemingly forced him into roles well outside of his skill level
He was excellent in No Way Out and Silverado (a character stretch) and I think Perfect World was his best and a very underrated movie

But way too many overreacting (and maybe hubristic) clunkers to get a pass

Gotcha. The movie For Love of the Game is one of my favorites of his.

One of my all time favorites. I was dating a girl from River Ridge (aka Reefer Ridge back in the day) and she had already seen it, but liked it so much she wanted to see it again, I think I wanted to see Uncommon Valor.....I'm like....ok......

About 30 minutes in I'm already like....this is a great movie....

Fandango was great. I am probably in the minority when i say i loved Water World and The Postman.
