So it sounds like this is really about the Rams letting Stafford's agent shop him so they can figure out what a reasonable contract extension would be.

Whoever is responsible for this should quit ... Mickey. This makes it pretty clear how bad Carr's contract is for this year and next. $40 million this year and $50 million next year. It's just distasteful to pay Carr that much more than Stafford. Not that Stafford would make sense for us right, but it makes it clear how little sense Carr makes for this team in this position with that contrat.
He does.I swear he has got one of the most punchable noses.
Carr won’t cost anywhere near a 1st though or even a 2nd.This hurts us because Carr's trade value goes down. Any slight chance that we had to trade him just decreased significantly. Which QB would you rather trade for if you were the Jets, Giants, Raiders, etc?
Which is a perfect reason to get it off the books in the next few weeks. I hope Loomis and Moore are up to the task. This makes it pretty clear how bad Carr's contract is for this year and next. $40 million this year and $50 million next year. Not really. Carr, and now Stafford, would be the only 2 quarterbacks on the market worth a darn. And it’s not like they’re miles apart in talent. Plus, Carr would likely only cost a 4th rounder. Much less than the Rams are asking for. This hurts us because Carr's trade value goes down. Any slight chance that we had to trade him just decreased significantly.
