Trade back into the 1st. (3 Viewers)

Ingram didnt succeed until the Saints switched to the zone run game at which Ingram excels

Right, I'm sure that is how his ability to cut and small space quickness magically came back....If you go back and watch film it is very clear....

This was well documented and discussed in this board years ago. He ran in a zone blocking scheme at Alabama. Before the Saints switched, they had Deuce and ran a power scheme. It took several years to switch the line over to accommodate that scheme.

As was his turf toe issues....ok, maybe both can be true....

I'm all for getting another 1st round pick this year.

I just need to see how pick 18 look on draft day tho.

If Williams and Willis is there. I'm calling up New England.

But if we finished in the 20s...wouldn't that mean we don't need a QB?
Not at all . Desperate need and wanting to find your franchise QB are 2 different things Eagles @ 19 - need QB , Steelers @ -need QB

That’s 3 1st round picks at minimum for an unproven talent. The Saints already scoff at that.

The best opportunity to get a QB is probably right now with all of them falling out of the top 5. You just got to find the diamond in the rough.

Everyone is like wait for a better QB class, but that QB class is one... Extremely top heavy and two... Aren't going to fall out of the top 3.

Nope

They won’t change. Why would you expect them to make a total 180 from how they’ve operated?
Because this is the 1st time we've had someone other than Payton calling the shots. Also, we don't know what we have at QB. At least last year we had enthusiasm with Hill and Winston to fight it out. Winston didn't inspire a ton of confidence and had some lucky breaks more than stellar play and a major injury. Might have been other issues like the OL causing that, but you still have to consider him a trial.

I don't give up my 1st rd pick in the next draft having eliminated Hill from the QB competition, resigned a project coming off a significant injury and a former 4th rounder with more questions than any other QB on a troubled roster.

We'll see what the organization does though. I hope they realize where things stand.

You're right. I forgot about Haener and Hall, they've been discussed/mocked as first round picks. Long season though, some will fall some will rise. Thanks for adding your insight to the discussion.

That’s a lie. They aren't. The only 1st round grade so far is Stroud and Young. Everything else is speculation and dependent on next season play.

Everyone is banking on CSP coming back to coach, I really think he just might stick to the TV thing and be the next Cowher or Jimmy Johnson
Did the coach get a job yet in broadcasting! I know he was looking and had interviews, but had not heard he signed a contract with anyone. I do believe also he will be back next or the following year if a good situation comes open. I frankly hope he does as the compensation would be great.

I'd be fine with it as long as we aren't trading next year's first and we use it on a position we need a starter at (e.g. WR, OT, maybe DT/S/QB)

Well thanks for expanding on that nope. By that standard this draft class has zero QB's, last year's 5 QB class was just Lawrence and Fields, 2020 only was Tua.

Reality is there is a ton of talent and NFL potential in next year's QB class that only need to continue their current pace to make it into the first round. Some won't, some will and I'm sure there will be a surprise addition.
