TWD- The final season (S11) thread (2 Viewers)

It feels like it has been so long since they offed a major character, but have to think we will be losing a bunch of people in this finale. It definitely stinks that we know who is safe, but they can still bring some heavy loss to the wrap-up.

Finale actually exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations. First 3/4 or so was pretty engaging.

I’m not usually one who has to see how the sausage is made, so to speak, but they seemed to skip a good amount of stuff. I really expected the entire thing to just be a bridge to the new shows, so that was refreshing - the last 10-15 did do that, but that doesn’t make it feel cheap. I was really hoping to see Rick roll up on a jet ski when Carol and Daryl were sitting by the water though.
I supposed I am mostly satisfied, but I think I’m glad it’s over.

Oh and
Michonne with the post apocalyptic Wakandan armor

For as much as they had to juggle there, it was plenty satisfying. Definitely hit me with some feels, for sure, but brought it all together under a hopeful tenor.
Can't wait for the Rick and Michone series. Where in the hell is he, looked like a big city.

Guess we have to find out why Negan and Maggie are going to New York in their spin off. No clue at all in the final.

Only 1 major character, 1 part time character and 1 sorta character went down.

Gabriel, who died by the whispers in the comics was still able to survive.

I think the creators think the audience cares about Rosita way more than they actually do. Half the time I forgot she was on the show, and her death didn't matter to me at all. They really played it like a huge deal.

Was expecting to find out she was immune

Some stuff has been shuffled a bit for the various spinoffs, but the latest I saw was:
FEAR final season part A in early spring
Dead City (Negan/Maggie) following that in late spring/early summer
FEAR final season part B in late summer/fall
TWD Daryl in later fall--likely Halloween area
Rick/Michone series S1 in early part of 2024
Tales of TWD still in limbo but no production schedule as of now
