TWD- The final season (S11) thread (3 Viewers)

The awkward interaction between Ezikel and Negan was good. I forgot they haven't interacted since he has been free. Ezikel let lt be known he does not forgive or forget...
Yeah that was some solid writing and acting there.
Also liked the Yvette Nicole Brown cameo...
And wondering what the whole designation 2 thing means, gotta be CRM?

hopefully we'll get a peek at Rick or Michonne, maybe as an end credit scene? But i am not sure they'll tie them 2 together. CRM doesn't seem to be the type to play nice, especially with a place like the Common Wealth[/spioler]

one episode left (amc+) and I am hoping it's more than just 45 minutes long. any word on if the finale will be an extended episode? I just don't see them closing it all out in 45 minutes, plus setting up the 2 spinoffs..

IMDb lists it at 45m

Mercer had a great line to close out the show last night-
"It's time to f#*% sheet up!"
Yeah that was pretty great, even if it felt like they were trying really hard to make us think he was locked in to staying on Pamela's side...when it was obvious he wasn't.
Also liked that they brought back Dan Fogler's character and addressed Oceanside, thought they might have just brushed that under the rug.
Still feels like a sheet ton to try and cover in 2 non-extended episodes?

This season has been a slog, only sticking with it as I have 11 seasons committed...just hoping for a rick/michonne appearance to save to day at some point t to redeem the show a bit.

The reapers stuff was totally unnecessary imo, but I've enjoyed mostly everything else this season.
I fully believe we'll get some sort of button scene that'll show Rick/Michone...it would be almost disgraceful to not give us something.
This cast just got too bloated with too many story-lines, I am looking forward to continuing with some of the characters in the spin-offs.

Yea, I'm with you. The sequel shows removed all the stakes. Oh look Daryl is in a precarious position, I hope he makes it out for his next show!

RE: the finale
After 11 seasons, 12 years, and 177 episodes, The Walking Dead is getting an extended goodbye on AMC. The cabler will first air an hour-long retrospective and making-of special ahead of Sunday's "Family," the penultimate episode of the zombie drama wrapping up with its November 20th "Rest in Peace" series finale. The last-ever episode will receive the red carpet treatment with a live finale event in Los Angeles, kicking off with the TWD: Red Carpet Live pre-show simulcast on AMC and AMC+. Following the expanded Walking Dead series finale, the night will end with a super-sized edition of live post-show Talking Dead, where host Chris Hardwick and special guests will discuss the episode and what's still to come in TWD Universe.

The Walking Dead series finale will run for 90 minutes rather than the standard 60 when it airs on AMC. In past seasons, extended episodes that aired in a 90-minute time slot clocked in at 64-65 minutes without commercials, so expect an extra 20 minutes of show time.

I really don't get into the live event stuff, the retrospect stuff seems ok, but i am really glad the last episode is at 30 minutes loner (probably 20 minutes air time longer)

Damn you AMC. all year you been letting us watch a week early.. and now you decide to hold that back?!?
Dang you all to heck..

I would have been fine with them having Lydia be eaten up. Maybe that could have been what saved the others.

Well, that was pretty damn good. Also a ton to wrap up in less than 90 mins next week.
Can't shake the feeling we are gonna be pretty disappointed, but I guess we'll see.
Something pretty major has to happen for Negan/Maggie to trek to NYC together and Daryl to somehow end up across the ocean...
