Two other middle linebacker options besides Zaven Collins at 28: Jayson Oweh and Joseph Ossai (1 Viewer)

That's astounding. Deion running that fast in the first place was astounding. I remember the shock I felt when I saw his numbers. It's even more astounding that Oweh ran even faster.

I thought you told me in a previous thread that Bellicheck was sure to draft someone just like this guy. New England picks #15. How does he get past them?

There's no way we get our hands on Oweh. Not unless we're trading up to get him. Way up. I still think we go CB in 1 and LB in 2.

Just my grossly inexpert armchair fan wannabe GM opinion.
The mocks actually don't have Oweh as High as I do but I think there will be surprises on draft day. Oweh being one of them.

I just can't see how a 3-4 team will let him fall past the top 25 picks.

But there's always hope.

If it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to take him and play him all over the place in a 3-4 or 4-3.

He's more athletic than Deion Jones and JOK at 35lbs heavier.

Saints lost their 2nd and 3rd leading receiving threats/options in both yardage and TDs from last season... I'm going to be completely floored if they don't address that in the 1st or 2nd round. While I think CB is probably a bigger priority (mostly due to the Lattimore situation) - It's not that much bigger.
I think that Simi Fehoko and Jacob Harris are good wr targets in round 3.

TE Zach Davidson and WR Anthony Schwartz in rd 4.

TE Jalen Camp or Quintin Morris in rd 5.

I'm with you.

Do you feel the excitement? It happens tomorrow night. I'm nearly shaking.

Early reports on Werner have been positive out of camp so far. Don't frown just yet.
I hope for his sake that he plans out at least as good as Ossai or better.

Ossai is a beast.

I mean I don't think it's fair to compare them, they're playing two different positions. Ossai plays defensive end for Cincy. But I saw a lot of reports Werner disrupting in the run game and playing well in pass coverage. And Turner has been impressive as well. Let's see how it plays out, I really like our draft class so far.

Ossai played well at OLB and inside linebacker too.

That's just a tribute to how much more versatile he is.

He was a nightmare at Texas.

I'm not pulling against Werner, But I do wish if they were intent on a linebacker there that Ossai were the pick.
