The only downside is the Russian team could have come out with pro Ukraine displays.Yeah I’m listening to this on Sirius now

Lots of curtains potentially pulled back
I like it though.

Counterpoint: The only downside to the Russian soccer team for coming out with pro-Ukraine displays would be their immediate execution upon returning home. The only downside is the Russian team could have come out with pro Ukraine displays.
One of the best games I have ever seen in any sport. Props to Chelsea.*sigh*

Havertz just couldn’t find joy
Nor could Mount or Pulisic. Tons of missed opportunities. And some epic saves.Man, it sounded like it

I have so many thoughts here unrelated to European football.....It's usually in the last place you look
Holy shirt. What a comeback by Real Madrid. Trailing 1-0 going into tonight, then giving up a first half goal to Mbappe, only to have Benzema score a hat trick in the second half. Those early second half subs by Ancelotti were perfect, and PSG seemed to act like they had it won after their goal.
I'd seen an ESPN notification on my phone for an article that said something about Mbappe might be the future for RM but Benzema is still king, but I had't seen any scores or anything. Just based on that, I assumed he'd done something in the match. And after the first half, I was like huh? But man, that whole team woke up in the second half. Just the pressing and intensity they showed. And while PSG had some moments, they basically wilted. And apparently they were all fighting each other and then looking for the refs after the match.Avoided this thread to watch.
It was absolutely astounding. The final 20 min were fire.

Yep, I think Marquinhos had a hand in all 3 goals. And yeah, Modric chasing down Messi was great.Well they shoulda beat the devil out of Marquinhos LOL.
I watched the first half and by half i was like "man should i continue? " so i ffwd to the first RM goal. Like ok interesting. They started to energize like they played in the first 10-15 min of game- pressing like wildmen.
It was such a great match.
When you have a 36 year old Modric chase down and tackle Messi in like the 75th min, you know they aint playin no mo. HAHA.
