Reyna injury at Dortmund not as bad as feared

Gio Reyna's latest injury is not as bad as initially thought, and the American could return to team training in two weeks.

Thought it was re-injury of hamstring. Wheeeeeeeeeew. But they need to wrap our USMNT players in bubble wrap now.
 
FIFA has problem on hands-

They did not remove Russia from WC ( as previously thought they would ) and moved to instead, ban flag, anthem and RU from uniforms.

In response, Poland, who was to play Russia 3/24 in playoff for final Euro spot, today announced they will, under no circumstances, play Russia. Sweden plays Czeck Republic in other semi and both have announced if they were to advance and face Russia, they will not.

FIFA said it can fine, penalize Poland for not playing, which would bring really unfavorable PR down on them.

FIFA are and have been for my entire 32 years of existence a corrupt group of *****. One needs only to see the WC in Qatar as evidence of that. I don't think they'll go through with the fines given the almost universal criticism the Russian state is getting but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they did.

Idle speculation, but I wonder how easily EUFA, Afcon, et al could stage a coup and just push FIFA aside
Are they semi-autonomous bodies and just cede organizational power to FIFA or is it more like the Olympics?

Well if the soup du jour is "cup o topple authoritarians", I'll have a bowl.

No they all are governed by FIFA.So I guess they could from within, but all 6 would need to be on board and I just don't see that but if they don't boot Russia from WC, it may unite the 6.
 
FIFA changed stance- Russian Football association banned from all competitions ( FIFA/UEFA )
