Ukraine (13 Viewers)

The news media are misfiling this story, trying to make it about the election horse race at home.

It's about Ukraine and war by other means. This link is to the 277 page indictment. It;s not a political story about our elections, it is Russia is attacking us as well as Ukraine kind of story.

I don't know why the media is talking about this as a political story about our own election. Maybe they haven't read the first several pages.

I'm suggesting you read the first several pages.

It's about the war in Ukraine, and we have been talking about this aspect of it for months in this tread in that we've all noticed that pro Russian stuff on the media has been outlandish. This indictment talks about why it has been being so outlandish.

They, the FBI busted the Russians who were doing this to us.

Sort of busted them, they are still doing it even now. Their channel is still up and running at YouTube:

This sounds similar enough to wonder if it's impact has reached here.

For example, one article is titled “White House Miscalculated: Conflict with Ukraine Strengthens Russia” and purports to be authored by a Washington Post reporter. The article states, in part: It is time for our leaders to recognize that continued support for Ukraine is a mistake. It was a waste of lives and money, and to claim otherwise only means further destruction. For the sake of everyone involved in the conflict, the Biden administration should just make a peace agreement and move on. See Exhibit 1 for illustrative examples of the cybersquatted domains.

Yeah, there certainly more than a handful of Russian and Putin sympathizers in the US. Just visit any open and active political discussion forum and there's always someone kissing Poot's arse.

Without reading Sam Andreas' article/indictment, I did come across a Twitter (refuse to call it X) post that referenced specific popular American Twitter posters/podcasters that had received millions of $$ to post pro-Russian anti-Nato/anti-Ukraine articles and podcasts. Think it was part of the DOJ indictment.

So, yeah, it's here. This Machiavellian-type of game has been here for a while. I hate the Internet like 50% of the time.

ETA - Anddd Rail's reading comprehension was totally down. Apologies. The post I read yesterday was totally about what Sam posted. Here's a quick breakdown by Vatnik soup. It does get a little political, but given what's going on, I'm okay with that.

its $10,000,000 and the web of connections ( Tenet Media connected to Turning Point USA just one ) is turning out to be quite substantial.

The current defense du jour is that these guys had no idea that the $$$ was coming from Russia. They just parroted talking points but are now attempting to pass those talking points off as their own personal beliefs.

I read about this this morning.

If you are a Russian soldier sitting in a "forest belt", its no longer JUST mortars, 155s, FPV or drone drops. Add fire encirclement.

Holy sheet, that's terrifying. Imagine a whole fleet of those things bearing down on a group trying to hide in the forest. Nowhere to go. Oof.
