Its easy to understand why they did it. They were caught solely on the defensive. This is a very bad state of affairs in war, because you are yielding initiative entirely to the adversary. If the situation was allowed continue, its likely they would eventually have to accept a ceasefire along current front lines, at minimum.

As for the location, the Russian front lines in occupied Ukraine are far too strong (Zaporhia/Donetsk), or are difficult to keep supplied (Kherson/Crimea). So its pretty logical they would have launched an invasion across the Russian border. I suggested as much last year..

so, if im following correctly, on his "scenario" - local PDs "trade in" old radios for a "credit" toward new radios. The Supplier then sells those radios ( maybe once they reach 1000 trade ins ) to some buyer ( unknown ) who then sells to Iran?

All that's really known is that the radios are in Iran. Might be different radios just was fresh on my mind having seen that.

So over 1000 Hezbollah fighters were maimed in this event. The scale of this operation is unimaginable - how did Israel get them to distribute 1000 pagers with explosives and NOT ONE was discovered before implementing the operation????

apparently they were, but Israel assassinated the people that found out.
