So Putin wants to stop attacks on energy and infrastructure (which helps him) but says nothing about no longer bombing things like apartment buildings.

Trump will then, at Putin's direction, push Ukraine towards further surrender.

i just left MAP board posting

this is a complete joke. A "ceasefire" on energy/infrastructure- thats it.

Ukraine was putting the screws to Russia via strikes on oil/gas refineries - so of course thats what Putin wanted

And got from Trump

No other agreements reached for full ceasefire. Just that. Stop hitting our refineries.

Of course, no one in the media will press Trump. Shoot he may avoid the questions altogether anyway.

joke

summary here

The Kremlin did not say a direct “no” but expressed “agreement” with Trump’s proposed 30-day moratorium on attacks against energy infrastructure. Russia will temporarily refrain from striking Ukraine’s gas and oil facilities, while Ukraine is expected to halt attacks on Russian refineries and oil storage sites.A second key development is a prisoner exchange, with Russia handing over 23 severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers. However, Putin rejected a broader truce, setting conditions that are clearly unacceptable: • Halting mobilization, • Ending military aid to Ukraine. These demands would give Russia a strategic advantage within a month. The talks were far from a success for Trump, but the Kremlin used its traditional “flanking diplomacy,” offering to mediate with the Houthis in Yemen, assist in nuclear negotiations with Iran, and discuss Black Sea shipping security—a topic Russia may later use to push for the “demilitarization of Odesa.”Another major proposal was a potential joint sale of natural gas to Europe. Ahead of the talks, Russia eased restrictions on foreign asset sales, signaling openness to economic agreements. No concrete deal was reached, but Putin extended a financially attractive offer to the U.S. The key question now is how Trump will respond—he cannot declare the talks a failure, but Washington’s stance will become clearer in the coming weeks as Biden’s latest sanctions package takes effect.

Like I said -- pushing them towards surrender.

Trump will now blame Ukraine, and personally Zelenskyy, because that's all he understands how to do, attack people personally.

The only good that will come out of this is if it pushes the European powers closer to sending greater and greater resources to Ukraine.

and at some point US will have to align with Europe or Russia.

I have a guess on where Trump will align.

Trump hurls a medicine ball at Zelensky and they agree to a host of items.

Trump underhands a softball to Putin who agrees to ONE item now that benefits him.

And Trump will still clammor that Putin wants peace lol.

So yesterday Russia sent over 100 drones/cruise missiles into Ukraine AFTER the phone conversation - i posted one strike, another hit a hospital and others struck residential homes.

Ukraine then struck a large gas/oil facility in Krasnodar Krai.

now there is a report that Trump will call Zelensky at 16:00 Kyiv time.

interested to see what this call was about.
