Underhill article: “Saints moves are telling us what they felt the real problem with the team was last season” (37 Viewers)

1st , I never said injuries were the only problem, I've always said injuries and coaching were the biggest problem and it seems the CKM and his staff are inclined to think so as well.
I've also said that in a way the injuries were a bit of a blessing in disguise because if we had been healthy we probably would have won 10 games and the NFCS and DA would still be the HC and we all knew DA would need to go eventually.

You just refuse to entertain the idea that had we not been decimated by injuries we would have probably doubled our win total or close to it.
You seem to want to make sure that all the blame falls on DA. Could that be because you are " The biggest DA hater this side of the Mississippi"?
That line kind of says it all. So any debate of the injury issue with you is fruitless. So I'll stop there because I understand where you're coming from
I can’t, I’m good faith, believe that we would’ve won more games, despite injuries bc that HC, not only showed he couldn’t beat good teams (in previous years), and then he proceeds to lose games in historical fashion. That is what many of yall are failing to realize. He was driving our bus in reverse. Not forward. Didn’t matter if we had our starters or backups in. You don’t go from starting hot against bad teams, then to embarrassing “WTH” losing, then to believing that he was going to right the ship. Thats not how that works. It’s wishful thinking. There is no way that I would ever feel like that guy was going to flip the script, when he never had answers. It’s not fruitless bc we had chances to win, despite racking up injuries. I severely disliked that guy bc I saw right through him and had to defend myself against all of the DA apologist on here. Now everyone sees the light and I have a FO and coaching staff that is gaslighting a fanbase into believing that injuries were the culprit. No, coaching was the hump that broke the camel’s back. A part of me even believes that some of our guys, may have embellished their injuries, or milked them, just so they didn’t have to play for that guy. Not that i want to question their integrity, but I did kinda feel that way last year. Some of those guys may have made some business decisions in more than one way.

Yup, I can attest that I've heard more than once under DA...."this is the 1st time in history a team does such and such and actually loses the game"

The guy had no business being a HC, historically bad....and I remember all of those folks on this board that made any excuse under the sun to try and deny it.....it was really quite pitiful.....some of those same folks are still defending ML....whilst attempting to tear down the greatest coach in Saints history (by miles) and somehow this was all CSP's fault.....it was utterly ridiculous the lengths that some went to....

DA was a historically bad coach, and the 2024 Saints season was negatively impacted by major injuries. Both things can be true. It's not an either/or. Thankfully, the confluence of events lead to DA's dismissal. Worst case scenario is we would have won 2-3 more games (perhaps due to a healthier roster) and Loomis keeps DA around for another season.

Loomis does not fire DA if not for Gayle Benson.
