Underhill: Saints talking with FA wide receivers (1 Viewer)

Not sure why I keep seeing Emmanuel Sanders name popping up in the context of WRs available. He is under contract to the Bills for another year, is a great player for them and extremely cap friendly in the second year of his deal. They have no reason to let him go unless his ability falls off a cliff, at which point we shouldn't be interested either.

In short, not available.
Thank you for clearing that up, for some reason l thought he was a FA this year sorry

Fuller, Landry, OBJ all still available. What a crap show of a free agency this has been.
Not sure I would go after Fuller, he is always injured and OBJ is often injured and wants the money. I would like either Landry, Humphries or Sanders in FA. Depending on what I would have to give up in a trade I wouldn't mind going after Lockett or Shenault. But we would still need to draft a WR pretty high, either 1st or 2nd round.

I though he contract voided. But, I could be wrong.

Who knows what guys are rising on NFL draft boards, but it looks like Jameson Williams, Chris Olave, Treylon Burks, George Pickens, Christian Watson, and Alec Pierce are going to fall in our 1st-2nd round range and be our best bets.

Maybe Jameis and CGM will be able to get some talented guys to come to Nola and play along side of them.

Sanders is a free agent, but he's strongly considering retirement. I don't think he would come to the Saints on a low-money deal. He has been chasing another Super Bowl for the last several years, to no avail.

Sanders said that he enjoyed his time here with us. It's not his fault that Drew couldn't get him the ball and money kept us from retaining him. I would think that he wouldn't mind coming back to a system/organization that he's already familiar with. It shouldn't cost us much to get him and we can still draft a WR high between rounds 1-2
