This is a sign of the times and something we never even had to think about until recently. The world is so much more dangerous today than it was 20 or so years ago.My guess is that the result of this will be that the French Quarter becomes essentially exclusively pedestrian. Maybe they will allow residents to drive on the streets and/or delivery trucks but it is going to be severely restricted and the general public will not be able the drive in the Quarter

With the number of mass shootings in this country, when I hear about terrorism on American soil I automatically think domestic.
