Waiver Priority based on current league standings (potential OBJ waiver) (5 Viewers)

Even with his massive price tag, it's hard for me to see him clearing waivers. I suspect the Raiders would jump at the chance to get him. It's not like they haven't tried before. I don't know what their cap situation is though.

Waiver priority based on current league standings
Lions - 1st (0-8) (rebuilding)
Dolphins - 2nd (1-7) (might pair OBJ with Tua or Watson next year but might not like OBJ’s contract)
Texans - 3rd (1-7) (rebuilding)
Jaguars - 4th (1-6) (rebuilding)
Giants - 5th (2-6) (deep WR corps / traded OBJ)
WFT - 6th (2-6) (rebuilding)
Jets - 7th (2-5) (rebuilding)
Bears - 8th (3-5) (rebuilding / Robinson and Mooney are both underused)
Seahawks - 9th (3-5) (Metcalf & Lockett)

Colts - 10th (3-5) (could upgrade WR2)
Eagles - 11th (3-5) (needs a WR2 but not contending)
Falcons - 12th (3-4) (needs a WR but not contending)
49ers - 13th (3-4) (need a #2 WR but OBJ’s contract may be too pricey for a WR2 in 49ers offense)
Vikings - 14th (3-4) (Jefferson & Thielen)
Broncos - 15th (4-4) (Sutton, Jeudy, Patrick)
Chiefs - 17th (4-4) (could upgrade WR2 but no cap room at all)
Patriots - 18th (4-4) (could upgrade WR2 but missing reads to OBJ could hinder Mac Jones’ development like Mayfield)
Panthers - 19th (4-4) (could use another WR but OBJ may be their pricey WR3)

Chargers - 20th (4-3) (K. Allen & Mike Williams)
Steelers - 21st (4-3) (Claypool, D. Johnson, J. Wash)
Bengals - 22nd (5-3) (Chase, Boyd, Higgins)
SAINTS - 23rd (5-2)
Bills - 24th (5-2)
Ravens - 25th (5-2)
Raiders - 26th (5-2)
Buccaneers - 27th (6-2)
Titans - 28th (6-2)
Cowboys - 29th (6-1)
Rams - 30th (7-1)
Cardinals - 31st (7-1)
Packers - 32nd (7-1)
Won’t get pass the Seahawks

Saints do not have the cap room to claim him. They would have to hope he clears waivers.
Exactly right. Today on Sirius XM Mike Triplett said if he did clear waivers, he'd probably have a lot of suitors and the Saints wouldn't have much to offer. Basically the offer is, we don't have any money to offer (meaning he'd get a minimal salary offer) and you'd be playing with a 2nd or 3rd string QB, but you'd be our #1 WR.

Maybe, but Loomis had gotten creative with signings before, but part of it will be whether he really wants to go to a specific team, or to the highest bidder.

Things could get interesting with Indianapolis.

No one will claim him because they would have to eat the remainder of his contract. Also there is a strong chance that he won't report if it's a team he doesn't want to go to. He'll clear waivers.

Yep. Unfortunately we're not that attractive right now . . . unless he just wants to go "home" for the rest of this year and hit the free agent market in the spring, fresh.

I don't think anyone is signing him after the BS he pulled with his dad allegedly posting a polished production of all-22 game film of various plays showing his son wide open and not getting the ball. Yes of course his father really came up with that.

He's poison at this point and hopefully he gets blackballed from playing the rest of this season.

The problem with those other teams is they don't have Sean Payton and a top 3 defense who has yet to be all fully healthy and play as a unit so far. Our O.line is better than just about every team on that list assuming they stay healthy. It all boils down to how much he wants to get paid if/when he clears waivers, if/when Browns cut him. Honestly, he would get bullied if he tried pulling diva crap on this team. I think we will have serviceable QB play, it won't be pretty at times but if we can run the football, it'll help out in the passing game with whoever ends up starting at QB.
