For sure, we were called silly and childish and worseThe crowd that was lecturing people who were saying we were getting played and dismissing it as total nonsense have taken a brief hiatus lol Stay tuned sports fans
I was also a little worried about the fact he's established he will just refuse to play for his team if he becomes unhappy. It's a big risk spending 3 1st rounders on a guy like that even if you set aside the moral issues and possible suspension. If CLE ends up winning a Super Bowl this way, more power to 'em, but...definitely a high risk move.I think it worked out best. Yes, we need a talented QB, but one with no pending legal troubles/possible suspensions that would have cost a ransom, plus 3 years of 1st round picks and who knows what else? Just insanity. I think this sport has become more about the drama involved than the actual game.
I think you are correct they panicked big time. I wish I knew what the first offer was because he said no. I am hoping we somehow learn of all the offers.I bet Cleveland panicked yesterday when Baker said he wanted out, and that caused them to call Watson and just meet every single one of his demands and probably more.
There was no way Mickey was going to give anyone a fully guaranteed contract, not with his legal issues.

I don't think it was all about the money. I think the Clowns told Watson they were not going to be able to get things in order to bring him to Atlanta, and he chose not the Saints. It turns out, the Saints were not even plan B.This was all about money afterall. Cleveland kept upping its offer, Saints had a point where they weren't willing to keep the bidding war going.
