Watson to the Browns (1 Viewer)

Watson’s contract reeks of panic signing.

Browns gonna Brown... Wow, that's so crazy.

Do they think Baker's shoulder is a long term issue? Sure, they weren't great this season, but last year they were 11-5. Jimmy Haslam is really trying hard to be the worst NFL owner. Stephen Ross is still probably winning that one, but wow.

My guess is Loomis was not even close to those guaranteed numbers that Cleveland gave him. Way too much risk. It was always about the money, so Watson's camp kept delaying and looking for a sucker, oops, I mean suitor. Then, along came the Browns. Thank goodness we avoided that mess.

Good. The Browns can have him; wasn't crazy about giving up 3 ones. Winston is every bit as good as far as I'm concerned. Saints don't have to give up anything for him.
Not as many draft picks as I thought. Cleveland kept that second round pick this year. They can get a good WR. Cleveland did not get fleeced on picks so it was all about the money. "Show me the money". Lommis would have made out like a bandit, had the money would have been lower. Cleveland keeping all it's 2nd round picks is huge. We will soon see if all that money is worth it.

Watson just wanted that guaranteed money. He knows he’s probably suspended and the civil lawsuits are still up in the air. He showed this decision was mainly about finances which is fair to him because he needs to get as much as he can in his short NFL career.

I want to see the results because they’ve been blaming Baker for their failures with such a talented roster, but we’ll see how good that team can really be. I think their defense is overrated and coaching is mediocre at best.

Probably will not amount to anything.

The other grand jury declined to indict because it would be a tough case to prove, with just he said and she said, and outside of any physical evidence in this case I suspect it will have the same result.

I saw that. It's interesting that there was no talk of possible charges in other Counties when the trade was being talked about. The way it was discussed, all of the possible state charges were resolved by the Grand Jury in Houston. I guess his agent is really good at P.R.

Probably. But grand juries can be fickle - I think prosecutorial enthusiasm is a big variable.

Hard to know. DAs are very political animals and sometimes they bow to pressure and make sure someone gets charged. I would guess that this DA is getting tremendous pressure to charge Watson and let a Petit Jury decide if he is guilty. Obviously a DA can't make a Grand Jury indict someone, but they can choose to present a more or less convincing case for an indictment.

Houston got the picks for their team, now they are going to get justice for the victims. This is how you run a city.
