Wife works for WL&F
There is a set time that they hold press conferences/let media have access.
These news stations think that they can drop in whenever and demand people's time (i.e. get an "exclusive" since they are the only ones there at that time). It's not like the largest oil spill cleanup in history is going on or anything.
Lots of people working long and hard and they don't deserve some of those negative comments.
The world doesn't stop for some jackhole news reporter.

Then, assuming they have the authority to do so, WL&F should be out there setting the rules, not BP. It's the "this is BP's rules" part that has a lot of people steamed. They do not have the official authority to limit access to public areas, and that is what seems to be happening.
Im sure many are, but these beach clean up crews are not.
They set up pop up tents and 2 at a time go out and look for oil on the beach while the other 8 sit under the tent.
This is too funny. My family has a House in Waveland on the Beach, the oil hasn't gotten there yet, but this is exactly what happens. They have a 10' x 10' tent for about 6-8 people. 1 or 2 go do a little work walking the beach and taking samples here and there, while the other 6 do absolutely nothing.
I have no idea how they're getting paid, but it looks like they're getting paid to chill.
