Malcolm Jenkins played the deep safety spot in the role that FS #42 did. Today they’d develop him as a nickel back from day 1 but either way, if he was man-up on someone it’s because Gregg was sending six and needed to match up everywhere else. Roman Harper was the safety down in the box playing a more direct coverage role for reasons I’ll never understand.

To be clear, I think this is Rizzi, he doesn't move at all. I also don't think the snap was hurried, Evans lined up on the opposite side of the field before going in motion but Rizzi never moves.

From what I read Rizzi said they were supposed to double him, so I'm sure everyone knew about the record AND the 3 mil bonus he would get if he caught 1 more pass for 6yds. But they didn't double him. Could it be our players didn't want to keep a fellow player from getting paid and they went against what Rizzi wanted??
