Linebackers cover tight ends all the time.

Malcolm Jenkins played the deep safety spot in the role that FS #42 did. Today they’d develop him as a nickel back from day 1 but either way, if he was man-up on someone it’s because Gregg was sending six and needed to match up everywhere else. Roman Harper was the safety down in the box playing a more direct coverage role for reasons I’ll never understand.

To be clear, I think this is Rizzi, he doesn't move at all. I also don't think the snap was hurried, Evans lined up on the opposite side of the field before going in motion but Rizzi never moves.

I would have quadruple teamed him and blitzed Baker with the rest. But, it's a players league. In spite of the charades they'd have us believe, players will help players.

Can you imagine Larry Bird allowing Magic Johnson an uncontested layup in any game, much less to establish or tie a record? He'd have hard fouled him if he had one to give and at the very least would have played tough defense.
