Now we can't even get those wins. That’s the problem with the cap shenanigans, if you wake up and find you’re a bad team, there’s no way to really clear out bad contracts and start over. This team has been bad for awhile, fooled by stealing close wins against mediocre teams.
Or a fall guy...And that’s the sad reality of it. We need a hero…someone to step up and shine some light on this.
No #1 RB, #1 C, #1 or #2 WR, #1 QB, #1 LG, #2 CB and traded away your #1 CB or your biggest offensive threat in Taysom.
Yeah I get it tear it down, but let’s not act like this isn’t a bunch of 2nd and 3rd string guys playing in place of all your primary starters.
Almost like dealing with the mafia right? lol. Will the local media step up and ask the Saints FO the tough questions now!?! I wish someone with access to the powers that be would do that for us fans.
I'm hoping that Loomis gets the hint and retires this offseason.Almost like dealing with the mafia right? lol.
It will never happen but you are absolutely correct. Mickey, Lauscua, Bensel and Ms Gayle should all sit down with the media and field the tough questions and the reality about why everyone else in the organization has been removed but the FO personnel. It seems like a legitimate question since they contributed to this mess.
I don’t disagree, but reality is reality. If they have a good draft but return most of this years talent they can add quality depth in the draft.but if the cap was in check, they could afford adequate backups.
I doubt we score a point. If you think this was a beat down, just wait until next week.
you are correct. half way decent drafts would have helped in the backup dept. but they seem to get one decent signing and then the rest are like 3rd stringers being asked to start or be immediate backups. if we are going to suck as bad as we are, at least cut whomever they can and eat the crap sandwich and then start over. we can't suck worse by signing more substandard players on the cheap and eat the cap hit the next two seasons.I don’t disagree, but reality is reality. If they have a good draft but return most of this years talent they can add quality depth in the draft.
Still think this was a 8-10 win team w/ out all the injuries. We were a top heavy roster, we knew that coming in, but no one expected us to see the rash of debilitating injuries we got.
Best thing to happen is pick low, not to burn it all down but to have access to talent that you wouldn’t had we won 9 games but missed the playoffs.
Picking 8-10 spots back in every round of the draft means you miss out on roughly 70 potential players because you pick so far back.
Be careful B, although you, I and a growing number of longtime SR members share this sentiment there are quite a few SR members still loyal to ML and our FO for whatever reason.I'm hoping that Loomis gets the hint and retires this offseason.
Unfortunately, if he did, I'm not convinced that would lead to the house being cleaned. If it's just the next man up in the organization, nothing changes.
Yep, you will be reduced to a blogger, just putting opinions together, like us hereThat's the fastest way to lose media access. Saints organization has the media under their thumb.
The primary starters are all perpetually injured. No #1 RB, #1 C, #1 or #2 WR, #1 QB, #1 LG, #2 CB and traded away your #1 CB or your biggest offensive threat in Taysom.
