We Needed This Beatdown (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately, we endured several beat downs this season - too many:

@ Chiefs 26-13
Bucs 51-27
Broncos 33-10
@ Chargers 26-8
@ Packers 34-0
Raiders 25-10

:covri:

This yr it's 80% injuries , last yr more talent and bad OC issues. Could say the same for 21. 20 was covid + injuries
This year it's injuries. Hogwash. In years past, players had passion; played through the pain (philly backup QB played the game with busted ribs? Chris "the tool" Sims played with a ruptured spleen. How many games did Romo play wearing a corset?) We had a coach who had no passion. None. Strictly a business. Mr Milquetoast. The entire roster was infected with Dennis Allen. He's gone, but his mediocrity lives on.

And we're the only team that was affected by covid issues? That's not a valid reason and you know it.

Stop making excuses. Demand better

The stat in the first half where the Raiders had 12 first downs and the Saints had 14 plays says it all. If this were college, the new coach would bring in 40 new players to fill out the 53.

Correct. We are already in year 3 or 4 of the downfall and nothing's been done to slow the descent. We are actively getting worse.
Too bad pro football is not like a trampoline where the lower you descend, the higher you spring back up.

I don’t disagree, but reality is reality. If they have a good draft but return most of this years talent they can add quality depth in the draft.

Still think this was a 8-10 win team w/ out all the injuries. We were a top heavy roster, we knew that coming in, but no one expected us to see the rash of debilitating injuries we got.

Best thing to happen is pick low, not to burn it all down but to have access to talent that you wouldn’t had we won 9 games but missed the playoffs.

Picking 8-10 spots back in every round of the draft means you miss out on roughly 70 potential players because you pick so far back.
It was top heavy because the depth was so poor, but the top wasn't really that heavy. Out of 22 offensive and defensive starters, how many do you think played this year like they could legitimately start for a mediocre ... or lets say the number 6-8 playoff teams??

It’s funny how true this statement is: “There is nothing new under the sun.” The comments you make on Rattler are not new; it’s what’s been said about countless young quarterbacks. Sam Darnold comes to mind. The comments on him were EXACTLY what you’re saying about Rattler, yet he’s now leading a 14-2 Vikings team destined for the playoffs in a tough division. I’ve seen this movie before: team gives up on promising QB with upside who goes elsewhere and becomes a franchise quarterback. There is nothing new under the sun.
I get it, Darnold is playing really well. However, have you seen the Vikings roster?? It is exceptional, especially compared to the places Darnold played before. And he's paired with a pretty good coach and system. I'm not a believer in Rattler as the future of this team. If they stick with him as though he is, I hope I'm wrong, of course.

Yep. I was one who defended the attempt to stay competitive in place of ripping the bandaid. In both approaches, however, vision and execution are needed. I have no idea what the vision is for this team. I'm not sure Dennis Allen did either.

OMG Mr. Milquetoast is probably the funniest yet most accurate description I've ever heard for Dennis Allen.

Well done LMAO.

Do you not understand what he ment?? While the results are not good there were reasons why, INJURIES. AND at an almost unprecedented amount. I defy you to find another team in the last 20-30 yrs that lost more starter games and at one position group in the NFL Go ahead , I'll wait
The lions.
