Week 7 PFF Grades (1 Viewer)

Great share. Is there a link to other weeks' grades somewhere?

That Cam Jordan grade.. Crazy.

Coleman with only 13 snaps. He's really been relegated to very spot duty the last few weeks.

Colston had only 27 snaps.

Cooks/Snead played 70+ snaps.

IMO, this says to me we are playing too much I-Form/2 WR and not spreading teams out enough with 4 WRs on the field. That isn't playing to our strengths in the passing game. We also played a ton of 3TE sets which worked early in the run game but were ineffective later.

Strengths in the passing game? Other than Cooks, we don't have a single receiver that other teams can't match up one on one, even Snead.

We have only 8 TD passes in 7 games, and the lowest % of TD's per pass in the NFL, and we're 24th in yards per catch. If we didn't have a tremendous quarterback, it would be a lot, lot worse.

Right now our best bet is to keep running and grinding, and using play-action where we can.

I too would like to see more 3-4 Wr sets but I think we have gone to more 3TE's set because the lack of pass protection. Which kind of makes sense to me. IMO in order to run the 4 WR set we need be hitting on short quick timely passing but the ability of our WR's getting separation
could be a reason we are seeing less of it?
I think when/IF our pass protection can get better we will see more 3-4 sets spreading the defense out.

The one that stands out to me is Akeem Davis. All the hype of him on the board seems warranted. :9:

So is that Cam's grade through 7 weeks or is that just from the last game? A +10 is monstrous

Thats gotta be one of the highest single game ratings for any player ever huh? I mean +4 is great. +10?? Jeez

It is a high score but theres been quite a few that were higher.
JJ Watt had a game last year where he scored a 16.

Wonder what Breaux's grade would have been had he not tripped on those 2 plays

They actually still praised him

– How can you not talk about cornerback Delvin Breaux (0.0) after what he went through Sunday? Everyone remembers the two huge touchdown passes, and it was reflected in his grading just how big those blemishes were. But the assignments he drew on each, playing man coverage against one of the best receivers in the league for 3.5+ seconds on each, were extremely difficult. Projecting forward, I’d be happier about the eight other targets than those two mishaps. On those eight targets he allowed two catches for 17 yards.
