What we accomplished today (2 Viewers)

They showed they could play with a sense of urgency when it was too late to matter

I would agree - but it was the Falcons. It is part of our historical record against them, we needed to credit that debit.

My thoughts -

1.) Tampa is going to get curb stomped in the first round of the playoffs to the point embarrassment.

2.) When have the Saints ever gotten the help they needed to sneak into the playoffs? Pretty sure it’s never happened.

3.) Allen benefitted from what will most likely be the easiest schedule ever played (once the strength of schedule, facing rookie/backup QBs, are calculated in). Sean Payton would have had this team moonwalking into the playoffs with this cupcake schedule.

Sean Payton didn’t want to be the Head Coach of the New Orleans Saints anymore. Whilst I agree that he would’ve likely had us winning the division, he’s only not here because he didn’t want to be here. This of course after we gave him all the power he ever asked for in terms of personnel decisions and standing within the organization.

Killing Atlanta, saving Allen's job, missing playoffs, dropping their draft pick to 15-16, ensuring Atlanta fires their coach, and giving them a top 10 pick.
The offensive staff will change. Has to. And we have to get younger and better across the squad. There will be change, because we have let a beatable Bucs team win the division three years in a row.
