Yes! LaCrosse, WI. I grew up on the Gulf Coast but that day in LaCrosse was one of the hottest days I have ever experienced.

About the best I got is I played black jack in the middle of the night with Deuce one early morning on the coast at the island view or whatever it was called back then. I remember it was when he was out with an ankle injury.
And back in the early/mid 80’s some of the players would hang out at Barq’s on the lakefront after games. Since I grew up on the other side of the levee, I spent a lot of time there but those memories may be just a little fuzzy.

Oh, and I had my picture taken with Archie and Danny when I was like 8. Sure wish I still had that.

Do you mean Barts? That was a very popular place to take a date....back in the day.....ok, way back in the annals of history....

I met Jim Mora during a Saints caravan stop in Shreveport, I think it was 1987.

He seemed really nice, autographed a poster for me. The friend I was with kept peppering him with questions, think it ticked him off.

I met Jim Haslett at one of the fan caravans that they did back in like 02’ or 03’. He was not very friendly but I don’t think I’d have been too stoked to sit at a folding table in the middle of the mall. 😆

I also met Darren Howard at that same event. He was very warm and friendly and took several pictures with me and my then-girlfriend and signed my DH jersey. He also stepped away from the table to chat when the crowd died down. He was very down to earth and kind.

Not a coach but when my brother and I tailgated for one of the games in 06’, maybe the Eagles playoff game - two older guys with thick New Jersey accents stopped by and hung out with us. Turns out they were childhood friends of Joe Vitt or “Joey” as they referred to him - and were his special guests to the game and had flown in from Jersey.

That was a fun experience.

Do you mean Bart's on the Lakefront? I meant my husband there on a blind date. Good times!

I met Jim Haslett at a meet and greet, he asked me if i wanted his autograph lol, which was crazy.

Not coaches:
I met Devery Henderson obviously we went to the same school together, won a pee wee chip with him at RB. Nicest guy in the world, never changed one bit.

I met Sedrick Ellis at the airport and he was real chill.

I met Joe Horn still to this day he is one of the coolest players I ever
met, there was a line of at least 50 to 100 and he sat and talk to us for a good 7/8 minutes, "he was like those people can wait" lol!

Seen Joe Montana turn down a 5yr old for an autograph in the nastiest way possible. Tim Brown was at the same golf event and was just super duper smug, like his poop didn't stink. This was one of them never meet you heros type deals.

Saw Terrell Owens at an airport in Minnesota fussing with a Airline attendant, you can't make this up.

Saw Jim Brown walking through the airport one time by himself, he looked terrible. I remember feeling bad for him cause of how he looked, i really should have went asked him if he didn't mind me helping him to his gate or something.

I met Deuce Mcallister and Michael Lewis at the black and gold scrimmage game in 2003. I knew one of the Beermans friends that gave me a couple pics of him when he was playing in the Arena league. He signed it for me. Anyway they were both super cool people!

I was probably 8 years old at The Riverwalk when I met John Fourcade, during the time he was the starter. My parents and uncle asked him if I could have an autograph and he was super-nice about it. He went on and chatted with my parents and uncle for a few minutes. He seemed really down to earth.

I was like 11-12 years old, so this is somewhere around 1992-1993, I was cruising the mall in Metarie, walked into Champs Sports and Craig Heyward was there dribbling a basketball near their set-up hoop. After I walked in, he turned around and saw me, then handed me the ball. He told me to try and get by him and score. Being a shy kid, I didn't know what to say or do, so I just did what he said. I tried crossing him over from left to right, but that dude was so big and fast I had no chance. Didn't even come close to getting by him. He was really energetic and goofy, like a big kid.

My aunty lived across the street from Bennie Thompson in New Orleans East. I only met him once when she introduced me to him when he got home from a practice. He just simply waived and said hello. My aunty said he was really nice to them.
A friend of mine that lived a block away from me is cousins with Fourcade.

Met:
Drew-he’s the GOAT off the field as well
Andy Dalton
Dante Stallworth
Aaron Brooks-friends with his cousin
Pierre Thomas-almost forgot that I met him. Instantly became one of my favorite players of all time.

Know (acquaintances):
Roman Harper-lived near him before he just moved to LA. Just an absolute outstanding human being.
Knew:
Vaughan Johnson (RIP)-would hang out with us at tailgates. Lots of fun to be around
Jake Delhomme-hilarious dude and also an outstanding human being. Has a nickname for me, which I will not divulge to you goobers🤣
You're friends with Michael Vick??
