I just read an article to the contrary. If only I could remember where...Ummm, McCarthy has called the plays for 2 years at least.
Joe Brady or Ben Johnson are the only choices. If McCarthy gets hired, I'll be a very distant Saints fan til he gets fired in 2 ir 3 years. McCarthy sux. We wanted him in '06, and I'm glad he wanted Green Bay.
Aaron Glenn is a great coach, but we need an offensive coach. Johnson is the best choice, but Brady is a close 2nd.

YUP , If you're a great DC because that's the kind Brady will have to have. Are you going to bet your career on a 35 yr old guy that's only been a OC in the NFL for 3 yrs and half of them he bombed? . And what kind of Ast coaches is he going to attract?I went MM. I’m even boring myself with that choice, but hear me out. We need someone to take control of this organization, someone that Benson will trust as much as or hopefully more than Loomis. MM has the experience, pedigree, and the talent to convincingly win arguments if/when it comes down to it, where as a young gun with no prior experience - while more exciting - I fear will not have the ground to stand on when faced with any difference if opinion from upper management. Plus, MM has decades of experience working with a plethora of other coaches - his Rolodex and prior successes will give us a much greater chance of landing good if not great position coaches and coordinators, not to mention strength and conditioning and medical.
As much as I love the idea of finding the next Sean Payton, going young and hungry and innovative, I think where we’re at now is a place where we would benefit from experience and connections, with a bonus of having developed some good young QB’s in the past.
You can change your vote people. I know some of yall are thinking about changing to Kingsbury after the master piece in Detroit. You know, the game that he spent his extra time preparing his team instead of sitting on Zoom for hours with the Saints leaders? That’s the guy you want. Not the one who was worried about himself and forgot to have his team ready to play.
Do you have a link saying it was Rhule's decision not to practice RZ and 2 min offense? I mean Bridgewater is not the kind of guy to throw anyone under the bus but his comment was specific about Brady. I would think that if it was Rhule's call Teddy would know it was. There is this misconception about Brady @ LSU, He was not the OC , he did not call plays. He was not the QB coachWhile you’re somewhat correct, Brady had zero to do with not practicing red zone offense. That was a Matt Rhule thing, Brady agreed bc his boss requested trying something new. Brady constantly practiced red zone offense at lsu more than anything else and I’ve read on here a poster said it’s the same in Buffalo (I haven’t verified that myself)
He improved AZ'z record every yr except the last one and Murray was hurt a lot of it. Murray is a Diva he would not watch film and instead played video games , so much so that it was put in his contract extension that he had to watch film. Kingsburry is a QB whisperer , he'll need a strong DC but he's a ex HC that has a good shot at being a successful one on the 2nd try. Also he's said he learned a lot about being a HC from QuinnI’m don’t like Kingsbury at all. Even McCarthy would be better. Head coach at Arizona was a disaster in all but one season. Plenty of games he never even made adjustments. This led to a bad relationship with Kylar Murray. To top that off, he had a losing record with a talented roster. Better than what Arizona has now.
He looks like one those guys that is a good OC but a terrible HC.
That's an absurd reason to like a HC candidate. Because he didn't spend a maximum of 3 hrs on a Zoom call SMHYou can change your vote people. Ummm you are completely wrong , MM took playcalling away from Moore in 2022 and has been calling plays ever sinceUmmm, McCarthy has called the plays for 2 years at least.
Johnson is not coming here . Since you are so pro Brady , please give me your reasons why. Because I can't see it.
