Bro i get where ur coming from, and im not saying Brady is one of my top choices- but this is a message board.. you cant demand that someone write a dissertation for you every time they state their (possibly ill-informed) opinion… that’s not how any of this works .
They could offer ANY kind of justification. Three paragraphs is hardly a dissertation, unless you're slow or something.

IDK why Brady is getting all the credit for that season, but Steve Ensminger was the OC and play caller.
It's because all people do is look at the surface. Brady was the passing game coordinator/WRs coach. He didn't even coach QBs but everyone thinks it's him that made Burrow, not even close. It was Cushenberry that called the plays. All Brady did was bring some of Payton's concepts to the passing game.

Not at all. Their resume went completely diverged about 4 years ago. Payton just took one of the least talented teams to the playoffs with a rookie QB because he was out coaching the opposition and he did it one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. Dallas Cowboys, being one of the most talented teams in the NFL, became a joke that the nation laughed at losing big games because McCarthy kept getting out coached against other good coaches..

In fact, its become so expected that the Dallas Cowboys lose the big games we no longer even laugh. And this all happened under McCarthy, constantly getting out coached whenever he went up against a playoff contending head coach despite having one the most talented NFL rosters.

McCarthy's ceiling was reached, and his last few years with the Packers and 4 years with the Cowboys have demonstrated very well his inability to make game time adjustments to put his players in position to succeed. Instead, he tries to rely on his players out playing the opposition.

This works against bad and average teams. It usually doesn't work against playoff caliber teams. Hence why we no longer laugh. Its practically expected at this point.

So the better question is, why would you expect it to be different here? We just went through 3 years of Dennis Allen, and everyone on this board was expecting something different to what we did with the Raiders. We saw how that turned out.

McCarthy is a desperation hire to simply become relevant again but never being a superbowl competitor.
The Broncos won only 1 game against a team with a winning record, the last game with KC the starters didn't play so SP was hardly out coaching anyone. Whereas MM had 4 wins against winning teams in 23

This idea that MM has reached his ceiling is absurd. Then you'd have to say that Payton or Tomlin or either Harbaughs or Reid before Mahomes had reached their ceilings.

The Cowboys talent has been way overrated, they had some good players at a couple positions but lacked some quality starters.

Im almost sure this is a burner account at this point.

I'm almost sure your ban was not long enough, I was here BEFORE you were
Do the research , you might learn something
Don't believe me , from the horse's mouth

Q. What's happening on the headsets when you guys are in between series?
STEVE ENSMINGER: As I say, Coach Brady is on his set with Joe Burrow. They're discussing what they saw. Coach Craig is on the offensive line. We're asking, Hey, what did Lloyd see. Lloyd Cushenberry is my MVP, I'm going to tell you. He makes probably 99% of the calls, and Joe has his chance to check it. As far as being around those guys and everything else, they're very seldom wrong.

Just like we waited on Kubiak last season.... something tells me our guy is still currently working on a playoff team. We're waiting to access all potential hires. I have no problem with MM but guys like Brady, Moore, Kingsbury, etc etc will be looked at very soon.

Todd Monken. He’s been a very successful OC. I’d say give him a shot.

Also has some head coaching experience at Southern Miss. Took over an 0-12 team and had them at 9-5 overall, 7-1 in conference his third year and was named conference coach of the year before moving on to the NFL

He would’ve been in my initial top 5 list along with Johnson, Coen, Brady, and Kingsbury.

I’m mum on Monken only because his offense is predicated on one of the most unique weapons of our time.

We have limited data on his ability to coach versus his ability to coach Lamar Jackson.

I believe this is why you’re not hearing much serious buzz at all around his name.

This is so true. Jackson is not the best passer in the NFL but he's so incredibly dynamic that you could quite literally pull a play out of a hat and Jackson will make it look good. He's a QB that may miss some reads but he also recognizes when a mistake happens and immediately runs to gain something. Especially if hes caught off guard because the defenses disguises something and he recognizes it to late, he just pulls down that ball and mimics Michael Vick to a T.

Then you have Derrick Henry running the ball like a locomotive. How can you call anything wrong?

I started out in this process thinking McCarthy and Brady were two choices I didn't want. Now, it's the only two I'm hearing about I feel ok about. I think Brady is a wildcard with lots of potential upside and McCarthy is a safe but proven and successful commodity. I don't think I ever realized his record is so similar with Payton. I'm leaning Mike.
