Pierre Thomas was for sure the best screen RB, not only as a Saints player but maybe even in the NFL. He can set himself up in the right places and, as a very patient runner, he utilizes his blockers and sets up the blocks.

I am so happy that I met him and had a great talk with him. He was great and humble... a great player for sure.

The answer was so obvious I thought that this was going to be a satire thread, like someone asking if we've seen the Drew Brees Is More Accurate Than An Archer video.
I loved Brees, but that was a very inaccurate SS segment. At 20 yds Olympic archers would be shooting pennies off
the top of a fence post.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned yet. It's PT23. (y)

I hope PT somehow sees this. This is a very knowledgeable fan board and those other choices were really, really good - but this kind of dominance in a poll can only mean that it’s just the plain truth. He was the best.

PT was clearly the best Saint ever in terms of the screen pass. Wes Welker was about the only person I can think of who was maybe better than PT in the screen game but he was a soccer player turned to wr. I truly miss PT. I remember being impressed that he outperformed our fourth round draft pick, Antonio Pittman as an undrafted RB.

I used to read this forum a few years before actually registering, and I can remember Pierre's sister posting here.

Sad ly it was a legal play. Thomas did make a football move after the catch, and there is no targeting rule in the NFL.
That's only in college.

edit- I should have said no targeting rule that year. The NFL does have a similar rule now.

It was helmet to helmet knocking PT unconscious. Should have been a penalty.
