Sad ly it was a legal play. Thomas did make a football move after the catch, and there is no targeting rule in the NFL.
That's only in college.

edit- I should have said no targeting rule that year. The NFL does have a similar rule now.

Defender lead with crown of helmet directly to PT's helmet. That was a penalty at the time.

Someone I think would have been great in the screen game that they never used in that role?

The 'Beer man', Michael Lewis.

Normally I hang around the Gameday board but this caught my eye. I never usually vote on these, but I came through here like a storm to find PT on the list as fast as possible. I loved Sproles, Ivory, Bell, Ingram, all those guys and still Kamara, but Pierre had something different in the screen game.

First name that popped in my head - Pierre Thomas. Legend.

But we've had some great ones, and your list has them all.

The answer was so obvious I thought that this was going to be a satire thread, like someone asking if we've seen the Drew Brees Is More Accurate Than An Archer video.

You need to add Chuck Muncie and Tony Galbreath to the list. It's definitely Pierre followed by Hilliard.

Scored the first Super Bowl TD ever for the Saints..... PT and it's not even close

Pierre Thomas was for sure the best screen RB, not only as a Saints player but maybe even in the NFL. He can set himself up in the right places and, as a very patient runner, he utilizes his blockers and sets up the blocks.

I am so happy that I met him and had a great talk with him. He was great and humble... a great player for sure.

I loved Brees, but that was a very inaccurate SS segment. At 20 yds Olympic archers would be shooting pennies off
the top of a fence post.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned yet. It's PT23. (y)
