Will Jameis be on the move? (1 Viewer)

As you know I have been critical of JW's play in the past, and I am a big Haener fan but With Jake being suspended and not getting any work for the whole season so far I am not in favor of trading JW unless there is a stupid offer like a 2nd or high 3rd. I do like what he brings off the field and in the locker room and if the offer is anything lower than that, I'll pass
You do understand that it’s not your decision to take or pass on a deal…right?

This is what the towel never seems to understand.
I understand the statement perfectly…. I understand the premise as well. I just don’t buy it. We have a rookie QB to develop as a backup. And the “less is more Taysom crowd” has a math issue I can’t fix.

Make the rook your game day QB2 and let Taysom get his 10 snaps at QB per game. Let your best players play. The “he may get hurt and thus can’t be your backup talk” is brain fodder mental gymnastics to justify keeping JW on the team. And is also hilarious.

I’m fine with JW being on the team this year as a “we ain’t got nobody left” option. But at no point do I want him taking real game day snaps. Next year Jake needs to be the QB2 and JW needs to find a new team.

If someone is desperate enough to trade us anything for him this year…. Take it. Laugh. And start the plan to move Jake up early. JW is not coming in to save a season anyway. We’d be better off seeing if we have anything in the kid.

The lack of appreciation for Jaboo on this forum is critical. So many would let him walk for a rookie that we have no idea about. The reality is that we need Jameis as our backup. His presence allows Taysom to keep being Taysom. No way DA gives the keys to Jake and Taysom has proven to not be the answer on a full time basis.

A 6 pack, some zig zags, and a full size snickers…. Make it happen!
I doubt they throw in the full size snickers.

I like Winston, but I doubt there is any trade market at all. On the off chance some team called, they must be desperate and therefore you fleece them and ask for the full size snickers....and a 4th round pick.

I don't like Winston and want him off the team next year. However, it would have to be a pretty damned nice offer to let him go this year. It clears no money from the books, it creates a hole at a position we've been snake bit at the last few seasons, and most of all he's been a positive presence on the sideline this season. I see him hyping guys up and being really encouraging when the team was in some bad spots. We need to keep that for the rest of this year unless they come offering a 2nd or something.

Well, this thread didn't take long.
Yea true, but the fact is, this idea assumes we’ve turned the corner and raised the floor. I’ll have to see them rattle off a few more convincing wins before I trade off assets. Unless someone offers something we cannot refuse.

I know people are sick of Carr vs JW threads, I am too. But that’s on Carr to stop these threads. If the offense clicks and does what it should on paper, then the fans won’t even be thinking about a better option. JW threads are a symptom of bad offensive play.
