With the 9th Pick in the 2025 draft, who should the Saints select? (merged) (48 Viewers)

Meanwhile Jalen Milroe missed on 8 consecutive passes. Maybe you take a chance on him as a UDFA.

Yikes. I was hoping maybe he had worked with a QB coach and improved. Not looking good for him unless he's willing to go the Taysom Hill route playing other positions while trying to improve as a QB.

I e said it before. Saints go best player available. There is no place on this team that cannot be upgraded. Take the best player availible, and if there’s a group of evenly talented guys, try to trade back and gain picks. They need an enormous boost in talent everywhere.
I agree. The Who? is less important than the distribution of draftees. If Mason Hunter is there you take him, if Tet is there you take Tet, or any top player in their respective positions. We do need to make sure we draft 1TE, 1 Left OT, 1 LB, 1 Safety, a CB, 1 Edge player and 2 DLs.

My new top 3 wishlist:

1. Mike Green EDGE Marshall
2. Tetairoa Mcmillann WR AZ
3. Nick Emmanwori S/DB South C

Mike Green is the definition of potential matching production & he’s only gonna get bigger, stronger & better in the pros. That’s my dude at 9. TMac has the makings of becoming the next Mike-T type. Id be all good w/him at 9. Ive always liked him, but seeing him ace the combine w:thise numbers confirms EVERYTHING you see on the field. Emmanwori’s has the skillset to develop into a Derwin James type of player, but in a bigger, faster, more explosive body type. But what makes Emmanwori so interesting me, is his big play & ballhawk ability. Emmanwori is prob one of the most versatile players in this draft.

Emmanawori was definitely one of the biggest stand outs of the combine so far, probably raised his draft stock big time. But, and maybe this is the former draft nerd in me, I can't shake the Taylor Mays/Obi Melifonwu combine freak trap from this guy. I just get that vibe. Definitely not a top 10 imo, but I certainly wouldn't be mad at us taking him as a second day guy.

His tape isn't good either.

Really really stiff hips and very uncomfortable in space. This is exactly the guy you hope goes round 1 to push someone down to your pick.

I only know him from the combine so can't speak much to him as a player. I looked him up yesterday and the consensus seems to be he's a genetic anamoly that has a spotty record as a player. He seems like the type of guy that if he gets drafted by the right team and right system can become a top tier safety. Not sure a rebuilding Saints defense is that system.
