Woodford Reserve or Maker's Mark? (3 Viewers)

I need more bourbon...

Only thing in the pantry is a nearly empty bottle of Knob Creek and a Black & Gold Makers from the SB which will probably never be opened...

On a regular basis I will drink Jim Beam, the black label 8 year old stuff. Makers is prolly last on my list its just too sweet. WR is awesome, Knob Creek is very good. I think everyone here named a lot of good bourbons. Want to go nuts get a bottle of 23 year old Pappy Van Winkles...

Pappy is on a level all it's own. And you'll def pay for it.

Two that're a little more reasonable but still high end are Blantons and Basil Hayden. You can't go wrong with either of those.

I opened that bottle lol. Wasn't sure how long it would store so I figured I might as well drink it. It's not like it will get better the longer it sits in a glass bottle.

I haven't tried Basil yet. Love Blantons though. My next bottle is going to be Bookers. I've heard good things about it, but have not tried it yet.

watch out for that Booker's. It's incredibly smooth so you don't realize it's 125 proof :covri:

I have that problem with the Eagle Rare. I'm a neat guy not a mixer.

Yeah, I know it won't get better... I also don't know if it will age poorly sitting in the glass bottle like that, but I just figured it was too easy to go buy another red-wax bottle, so that one will stay sealed.

:9:

this is a three year old thread. It took you that long?!?!?!?.

I had the bottle and wanted to post how great I thought it was, did a search to see if anyone else had mentioned it and this thread came up, so I thought just reply to this one.

Jim Beam is great bourbon. I spend the majority of my time drinking that. I do buy other bottles though.
