Croatia: do not **** with.

Meanwhile, now that Morocco has reclaimed the Iberian Peninsula for itself, it will now head over the Pyrenees for a very interesting matchup against its former colonial masters.

I am sure there will be no emotions on the line, just a purist football matchup.

And I think we're all in a "win-win" situation here. If the two games go to the odds, we're going to end up with an Argentina/France final, and wow that's freakin' awesome - what a grand match that would be.

However, if either (or both) Croatia / Morocco win their way into the final, the only thing that can be said is that they deserve to be there and whoever their opponent is going to have a tough task on their hands. And so we get to see a classic tale of an over-performing and dangerous underdog in the final. I recognize that Croatia's regular strong performance in these tournaments makes it a bit hard to call them an underdog, but it's nonetheless true that Argentina are the favorite there.
 
My favorite team is always France (tribal loyalty) but if anyone is not hoping for a Morocco-Croatia final they have no soul.

There would truly be no loser in the game.

Don't you almost get the feeling that Croatian football loves telling the world "come at me bro"?

Were you really, truly surprised that they got through and then had two knockout wins?

They EXPECT to win because they love the "come at me bro" role, and the bigger, stronger traditional powers are almost morally obligated to look past them?

The ultimate trap opponent, even when you can see it coming?

IMO this also used to be Uruguay when Forlan and Suarez were a lot younger.

A Morocco-Croatia matchup would be wild, and I'd be there for it. Not likely, but who knows.

well we already had one in the group stage and it was decidedly not wild
maaaaayyybbbeeee a final would be different, but there is no evidence supporting that
it's a great narrative story, but nothing that screams memorable on field play
that being said, while France v Arg would be the marquee match - it could very likely be similar to France v Eng, great on paper but ugly on the pitch - ref probably shouldn't even bother putting the yellow back in his pocket

Hello, im pessimism, have we met?
 
I would love a Croatia - Morroco final, its soccer and anything can happen (and often does)….but a France - Argentina final would be epic….I think they are the 2 best squads but Argentina better dial it back a bit emotion wise or they will get hit with reds…..
 
I found myself rooting for ENG even though I had Croatia, France, and Morocco on paper.
I have penciled in a 2018 rematch of France and Croatia. But I think any of the final possibilities can be exciting.

Morocco vs Croatia is probably the least interesting to me.
Argentina vs Croatia will definitely be David vs Goliath
Argentina vs France has some of the Old Gen (Messi and Di Mara) vs New Gen (Mbappe and Dembele) vibe.


Croatia really isnt an underdog they just are viewed that way because Brazil, France, England, and Belgium were so highly touted. (Remember Croatia topped the nations league Group A1 over Denmark, Austria, and France)
In the finals I have Croatia getting the better of France this go around. I think Morocco is going to drain France's energy.


Anything with Argentina will be the swan song for this generation.

After this World Cup we could easily lose a golden era worth of players from FIFA cup play...

Man I was really rooting for Cavani, Suarez and Godin to get deep into knockout rounds for the amount of time they have spent playing at the level they have for decades between them

Wow that's who's who of great players on that list.

Keylor Navas...what a keeper. Musliera for Uruguay as well ( he was on squad but didn't play ).
