Our offense is playing far beyond what I hoped or dreamed. The o-line is playing well above expectations. Alvin is back to HOF levels. Derek Carr is playing at an MVP caliber level.

However, I still see a glaring issue. WR. Shaheed and Olave are great players. But who do we really have behind them. If one of them go down, who can we count on to come in and keep things going.

Maybe AT Perry will be the guy when he finally comes back from injury. Maybe it’s St Brown. I just don’t know right now.

I was watching Kay Adam’s and she had on Devonte Adam’s with Shaheed and I thought what a great idea it would be to try and trade for him. He was lightning up while talking about Derek and it was obvious that he would love to play with him again.

That would be a coup getting him right now. We just don’t have anyone to trust coming in in someone goes down. Waiting for the trade deadline is not a great idea. What do yall think

i like him too but he would have to reduce his price!!!!!!!!$$$$$$$$

Tipton is the most similar to Olave and Shaheed in that he's a guy with speed and quickness and Wilson is a solid vet receiver. The rest are guys you have to develop. But, as long as we continue to run the ball the way we have, we can get by without one of or top WRs. The truth is nobody can really replicate what Shaheed can do.

As far as Adams, I think a trade would cost too much and he would want too much money. We are going to have to give new contracts to Shaheed and/or Olave soon and I think paying Adams might make that difficult to do. I'd much rather go with what we have this year, develop those guys, and then look for more talent at WR in the draft.

as long as the guys behind them know the playbook i'm not worried. this scheme is getting guys open. we're all traumatized by the PC era where if we're lucky enough to get a pass off, its going to be a fight for the reception. as long as everyone else does their job i think we'll be fine.

We STAY in 21/12 personnel.

We only use 2 WR

CALM DOWN

I agree about calm down, but according to Underhill, we ran 24 plays out of 11 personnel against the Panthers which was the highest personnel grouping we used in that game. But we only used 11 personnel 4 times against Dallas. So, we may use 11 personnel more than you might expect in some games depending on the attack Kubiak wants to use. Obviously Kubiak could adjust to run more 12 and 21 but to keep maximum flexibility, it would be not to have 3 good WRs to run 11 personnel when Kubiak wants to. But, I think some of the younger guys could grow into that role later this year.

So, I think we are fine with what we have at WR for this year, especially if they keep running the ball like they have. Means, Tipton, and Perry will have time to develop as the season progresses and then we can see where we are before the draft next year.

Only two games so I don't have nearly enough data, but the early numbers say that Adams would be almost useless in the scheme Kubiak is running. He is simply too slow to do what Kubiak needs his WRs to do.

Tipton has a number of downfield blocks that have helped other players score.
You normally don't see that from a rookie especially from a UDFA...

Based on his early camp experience & his snap counts, I expect his receiving number to go up.
